  1. DV/IMG: probably IMG, but close 60/40 C-M over DeSoto STA/NS: 50/50 AHP over SLC Norland over Atascocita Possibly win them all. Could be 3 to 2 and I wouldn’t be shocked.
  2. FL and TX both have waaay better depth than Cali. GA might as well. MC/CC would be a shootout. 50/50 in my book.
  3. I don’t think Cen10 is #11, but they definitely are not 50-100. When you play tough opponents week in and week out you will get a close game or two. It’s how you gut out those wins that builds their intestinal fortitude. I can forgive a barnburner with Punahou (who is no slappy by any means) when they play a monster like MD to a 14 point loss. Teams like MD, SJB and BG will always pour it on if they can (ie MD 55 Kahuku 7). For Cen10 to keep it closer than usual for MD is what does it for me. BG dominating Cen10 like they did is a huge reason I have BG at #1 for me.
  4. Bradley Central is thumping Bearden 39-17 late in the 3rd. Didn’t expect that domination. Looks like Powell/Knox West is the best game tonight. Knotted up at 17 in the 4th.
  5. It was probably a JV or Freshman game. Max preps consistently screws things up like this. Even Calpreps will slip up and post incorrect scores. Punahou is a legit top 75-150 type of team on a yearly basis. All that being said, this argument is really about Texas teams. I believe DV is a legit top 10 team. I, personally, have them at #6 nationally. DeSoto and NS are top notch as well (10-20) while I see Atascocita and SLC as top 25-30. All very good programs that are deserving of those high accolades.
  6. They are not on the national radar. Bradley Central’s only good this year because of their all world everything Boo Carter. Once he leaves they’ll return to reality. Bearden isn’t usually in the discussion for top teams in Tennessee, but the new recruiting standards are turning them into just that. I could see Bearden making some noise in years to come. Neither one of them will unseat Oakland this year. I really hope Oakland continues to venture out to play more national level teams. Going to Indianapolis to play Center Grove was a start in the right direction. It’s always been our privates that played anyone OOS (ie. LA, BA, MBA or MUS).
  7. Knox Catholic exposed a kink in McCallie's armor last week (we'll see if KC can play Baylor close as well). LA might be having a down year, but they are certainly talented enough to beat them. Upset alert???? It's the Battle of the Boro, but Oakland should roll Riverdale with ease. Bearden at Boo Central should be the best game tonight on rivalry Thursday. Another top game tonight might be Powell at Knox West. West should win, but Powell might be able to give them a run. Ravenwood/Brentwood is always a good game. I also like Greeneville at Elizabethton.
  8. Farragut's a tough team, but Maryville should be able to handle them at home. Farragut has a 3-6 record coming into this game, but they've played a brutal schedule (by east Tennessee public school standards). You'll enjoy Gatlinburg. East Tennessee is gorgeous up in the mountainous area. Have fun!
  9. Not that I agree with USAToday, but the big 3 (CA,TX,FL) and GA/OH are going to make up 70-80% of most polls. Those areas are just simply where all the talent is. As it stands now 14 out of the the top 25 are from those big 3. 6 more are from GA/OH. That's a whopping 80%! It is what it is.....
  10. I figured. No way SFA’s real team got trounced like that by Hun. Im compiling my poll! Lol
  11. Was that SFA’s B team that got trounced by Hun this weekend?
  12. Well, it looks like Oakland is taking care of business tonight. Down 12-0 early, but have dominated since. Maryville knocked off Alcoa. DL looks like they will beat BA.
  13. Lol. I went to Tennessee Tech for one year (92-93) then joined the Air Force. That's how I ended up in Omaha.
  14. That CPA blowout last year was a headscratcher for me. Oakland/Ravenwood should be decent. Alcoa ripped them a new one earlier 35-14 (if I remember the score correctly), but that was the first game of the year for both teams. Ravenwood could've gelled into a much better team by now. I have no idea why Alcoa has remained in 3A all of these years. They could, at LEAST, move up one class for crying out loud! Lol. The Alcoa/Maryville rivalry is akin to Oakland/Riverdale not so long ago. Great games with a great atmosphere. My brother is a pastor down in that neck of the woods. I visit every year. When my vacation falls on that weekend I don't miss that game. When I was in high school (88-92, I know I'm old lol) Oak Ridge/Farragut was a good rivalry to go see.
  15. I saw that someone started a post about Oakland over on CoachT. Stated that they are the best team in the state of Tennessee. I think McCallie and Baylor would have something to say about that. They might not even be the best public. I wouldn't be shocked if little ole Alcoa beat them. What say you? *Big rivalry game this weekend in Blount County with the Tornadoes and Rebels. Records get thrown out the window for this one*

  17. It’s looking like they’re taking care of business tonight. They are thumping Knox Catholic. I see Baylor routed Life Christian (LCA is terrible, though).
  18. DV would have a much tougher time with IMG’s schedule than you might think, but would be undefeated. Although SJP would be 50/50 if the game was played in Philly (of course, we all know a TX power would never travel out-of-state to take on another national power).
