They did play Chandler tough last year at their place and whipped Santa Margarita 35-10 three years ago.

It seems like Cherry Crk and Valor Chr are the only CO teams who will challenge themselves OOS. Mullen Prep used to.

I haven’t seen Atascocita on anyone’s top 10 list. Are they more 10-20 range? Looking forward for their game with Liberty. Still pissed Oakland,TN backed out on Liberty, but this should still be a good game and test for both squads.

Everyone, this is a preseason ranking! It’s a crapshoot. All of them are typically the usual suspects every year. That is why I won’t release mine until every team has played a game. A lot of you keep referring to MD’s dismantling of BC. Well, guess what, MD (and SJB for that matter) have knocked the socks off of all of those aforementioned Cali teams you brought up as well. Not to mention destroying a top TX team IN Texas last year. Just be patient and wait and see what happens after ALL of the teams have a couple games under their belts….

Also, Katy took care of business against Bellevue back when the Wolverines were a recruited up team. If I remember correctly Bellevue beat Euless Trinity back in those days.

That’s fair. I usually don’t put out my official one (No Nonsense poll) until all the teams have a game or two under their belts. Usually, after TX’s first week since they start late every year.

DLS would’ve smoked them later in the year that season. Not a Cali fan, but that type of offense takes a few games to get clicking. I like it better when DLS schedules those type of games later in the season. I wish all teams would, for that matter, but I know the logistics don’t allow it once district play begins. I really believe DV would’ve done much better against MD later in the year. Not beat them, but not lose by 42 points.

That’s too much of a crapshoot. If I didn’t have a 60 hour/week job I would have more time to dig deeper. For now, it would just be the usual suspects in a top 25.

Realistically, only 20-25 teams make national power schedules. The rest will, usually, schedule tough in-state games. That’s what most of your top 100 teams do. It is what it is.

Oakland should definitely be in the top 75. Maryville/Alcoa top 150ish. (***Oakland still loses points for chickening out against Liberty, though. Lol***).

I would rather see public vs public. There are a lot of good publics from TX, GA, and FL.

MD should be #1. Can’t see Alcoa being top 75. Maybe top 175?

Maybe, but I could see them going 2-2. Calvert Hall and Rock Creek are beatable for them. 50/50 games imo.
