my issue with you was your idiotic notion that only 2 of: Desoto, Chill and DV could have relevant talent at the same time.  All this other stuff you’re babbling about is deflective noise.

You become RZ, talking about a program 2 years removed from the given year(2019). Instead of talking about the 2018 season which was the most recent at that time.

It doesn't fit your bs narrative. No point in responding to you, you pretzel everything like RZ

“…Desoto/ Duncanville and Cedar hill can't be at the top at the same time. One of the three will stink when two are doing good…Here we are though,  Cedar Hill is suffering because the talent has gone to Duncanville and Desoto”

Bottomline, there’s enough talent in the area to support all 3 to be competitive: see Desoto, DV and SOC.

Paramus Catholic NJ football just got the book thrown at them for recruiting violations. And rightfully so. Legally recruiting 7-8th graders is totally different than illegally recruiting high school upperclassmen.

Dude, the only way private schools can truly be at the very top of HS football rankings is to recruit studs that are going to be Jr and Sr's. on the team.

The Sr year only transfers at SJB is eye opening.  When you except this many upper classmen with offers already your program is about transfers not developing players.  This is not to say, that SJB or other privates do not develop some players.  However, it says to be truly elite they can't do it without recruiting already made somewhere else studs!

I'm also am not a proponent of Senior xfers. However, if state associations around the USA allow for it, there's not much any of us can do.

Never claimed they were very good after gorman.  The schedule and results told us where they were, but I do think they were better than when Lynn took over

You were obviously ignorant to their 2017 results going 4-6, after going 11-3 the year prior, which made you believe your prediction of them not being very good going forward was on point.   comical, but typical

you also posted an erroroneous maxpreps result for one of the years, anyone really up to speed would know. I’ll let you figure it out.  But you got it all figured out though huh?  😂

What's hurting Cedar Hill

School size - much smaller at 2277 enrollment compared to Desoto and DV.  Other towns in the district have grown bigger than CH for example Waxahacie who has good talent too is now over 2600 enrollment.

Waxahachie will soon replace Chill in that district. May even eventually challenge DV and Desoto

was driving out that way on 287 not long ago, there is tons of space for that city to grow.  The HS is very nice too!

They have already passed CH at least for now.  This program is on the rise in my opinion.

24.4 SOS with Opponents W/L record of 40-43 (.465)

Only Carthage has a lower SOS (21.0) of the T20 teams in TX. Smh

They’re a legit front runner to repeat which means beating NS and DV in the finals.

you need to pay attention to overall wins and losses instead of calpoops sos. They’re not winning second tiered state titles here, they’re playing and beating the best.

All the pollsters are now paying attention to SOS, which is why WL is #14 in the composite poll. In years past they would've already been in the T5. #progress

Who cares!! Lol. You act as if #14 in the nation is an insult.  This years team is not as good as last years, but good enough to win it all nonetheless

put things in context, that’s meaningless towards what they can accomplish which is beat TX teams with higher sos.

@GardenStateBaller  here’s how I think calpreps will unfold for WL.

If they get through regionals they’ll be inside the top 20, beat Cita/NS in the semifinals they’ll be top 15, beat DV in the finals they’ll finish inside the top 10.

and then all this premature talk about them and sos will be mute

We'll see. You know that I'll always be of the Iron Sharpens Iron ilk. Playing slappies and not being tested until the 14-15th game of the season is bound to hinder most teams in the end.

They have no choice of their district opponents and that’s 80% of their regular season schedule. They’ll be fine.

Question. Have they ever scheduled another OOS opponent since losing at home to Liberty NV?

Yes of course.  The following year they beat Niceville Fla 66-7.  That was their last OOS game

the only reason Liberty won is because Sam Ehlinger didn’t play. Had he played it would have been a WL blowout. You know this but yet you still crow about such a hollow win

You don't find it strange that many of their peers have been scheduling "up" of late with regards to OOS yet they're not? Westlake is the Lakeland of TX. They care too much about their overall record rather than to challenge themselves vs elite competition annually like its peers.

None of their TX peers are scheduling “up”. Neither north shore, Katy are scheduling OOS games. I’d argue they are more concerned with titles than overall record.

unlike Lakeland Westlake is winning titles and beating their peers in the process.

in the past 3 years they’ve beaten north shore, Katy and SLC in the playoffs, destroying 2 of them. That’s not debatable.  The only playoff game north shore has lost since 2018 is to… Westlake!

do you think they give a damn what Duncanville, Allen or Desoto are doing OOS? They’d whip them all. Lol

NOBODY will never know how good teams like NS, Katy and SLC REALLY are until they play elite, OOS competition (not Niceville FL) for all to see!

But that’s the thing these programs dont care what you really have to know, see nor rank. If they did by now they’d jump on the bandwagon.

You treat these independent state agencies as if they’re the ncaa where the P5 programs are all underneath and are expected to fall in line. That’s not how it works with HSFB, never has.  One reason the geico struggles getting a depth of quality teams

This year's Geico event could be the best one ever with so many eligible teams ranked so high. Fingers crossed.

Not enough states are involved, but anyways

Since there seems to be so much “skepticism” on Texas teams, how do you know how good a team like Buford, Langston Hughes, Edgewater, mill creek, colquitt, etc. are THIS year? 🤔

Easy peasy. All of those teams listed are connected with solid OOS teams:

Hughes: Spartanburg, DF, SFA

Mill Creek: Buford, Thompson, Lipscomb

Edgewater: DBP (#1 in NJ)

Colquitt: Lowndes, AHP
