Are high school championships out of reach without recruiting?

They'd be the # 1 public in America regardless. Then we'd wait for the SFA/IMG result on 11/18.

Regardless of what? What if Centennial beats MD? Who would be your #1 public? The chances of this happening are similar to the chance of MC beating IMG.

Is centennial loaded because I would actually favor Miami Central by about a field goal over IMG right now

Yes, they would be in the conversation. They had a stronger schedule last year and I feel even with going undefeated they would have only been a top 3-5 team. Too much west coast bias in these polls. Look at Westlake in Texas, have won 3 straight titles, on a 30+ game win streak in the highest class in the state and can't sniff a piece of the MNC...crazy!!!

You think Westlake was better then MD last year or SJB in 2019?

Not counting 2020 covid year

With IMG as a common opponent of both, we'll know by 11/18.

So a beginning season matchup is the same as one in November?

And we all know how SFA vs IMG is gonna go, I get you have to promote this as a balanced matchup but SFA is gonna beat IMG down like they been doing lately

As long as these pollsters have teams like MD, SJB, SFA, BG, IMG, and even STA near the top of preseason polls every year it will be extremely difficult for power publics to win a MNC. Because the likelihood of all 6 of those schools losing a game or two in a season for publics to move up is highly unlikely. Even if a public has 2 or 3 top OOS games and runs the table. Just my opinion.

Beating IMG and going undefeated in a top HSFB state like FL makes it possible. If the Big 5 all have a loss, an undefeated MC would get my vote. STA beating a solid, but not elte SJP and going undefeated would not be as impressive IMO.

Schedule those teams and beat them. Don't rely on we won our state championship and are undefeated so we should be ahead of them
