Honestly both teams have a case for not only best in the nation but also best in Florida It's gonna be interesting to see how it goes down to the wire

It's your rankings at the end of the day but I would at least consider Chaminade jumping Central depending on how these games go Central scraping by AHP should at least give Chaminade a potential window to jump to #1 depending on how Chaminade vs Bishop Gorman goes In fact depending on how these 2 games go I'm considering having Chaminade jump Central in my final FL ranking

The only other Dade team I would recommend considering in the future would be Columbus (private school and usually solid)

Cocoa scored on their first possession of OT then Florida High fumbled the ball Cocoa is the 2S State champions in a thriller in Tallahassee So far my preseason #1 teams are 2 for 2 in the state finals My pick in 1S is already eliminated so Trinity Catholic vs First Baptist will be in that game My 1R pick in Hawthorne is still alive as they face Northview so if Hawthorne wins I'll finish the first championship week with picking 3/4 of the champs from my initial preseason rankings

Yeah well if any team in county other than Broward or Dade was looking for their first state title for that county and had to go through Chaminade they would be entering next year STILL looking for that first title

Regardless though Chaminade Madonna is legit and they will prove it against Bishop Gorman

There are people in SFL that don't even realize how good Chaminade is I guarantee if they didn't play several well recognized names nationally like St John's and AHP I doubt many outside of Florida would even have taken notice

For sure Basically there's a very realistic possibility that in a split MNC we could have multiple Florida teams having a National title claim Central and Chaminade have made their marks this season

Yeah but Chaminade would have wins over St John's, Dillard, Treasure Coast, AHP, Miami Northwestern and Bishop Gorman in that scenario Depending on how close the AHP vs Central game is I think Chaminade still controls their destiny unless Central can win convincing (17+) over AHP

Yeah the only catch is you can't accept out of area kids if your at capacity without a full move However I don't think any Dade or Broward publics (at least among the state contenders) currently operate at capacity so they can get open transfers like any private could

It is but even with a win I wouldn't rule out the idea of Chaminade still having an opportunity to jump Central I wish that could be the Geico bowl game we could get this year Central vs Chaminade

If Miami Central doesn't step their game up against AHP next week I'm considering putting Chaminade number 1 in Florida heading into that BG game

Statement win by Chaminade Game was never in doubt and they controlled the game against a solid CCC team who just ran into a buzzsaw Bishop Gorman better be ready or Chaminade will make the flight out to Vegas and beat them on their own turf

Your damn right I do You haven't even seen Chaminade play and you immediately trashed them for being high in the rankings because they lost to AHP LAST SEASON in a downpour Chaminade this year may be the best small school to ever come out of Florida and they are the only team to date this season to have beaten AHP on the year, AHP will be playing Miami Central in the 2M title next week The only reason their SOS is as low as it is currently is because outside of Cardinal Newman and CCC tonight (which hasn't been factored in to the SOS yet) their opponents in their classification they played were terrible, a weak district and outside of Cardinal Newman their playoff path ended up being filled with weaker teams This just shows you don't have a clue about the Florida teams but then again most people on these boards don't either so they usually just talk out of their ass and hope nobody points out how behind the 8 ball they really are
