Bigger problem for me is they didn't look good at all in any facet.  Combine that with undsicplined play, sometimes teams implode.  For a team reliant on bringing in talent, that an be a problem.

They’ve always been penalty ridden. This is NOTHING new. The schedule just got way tougher the last two weeks.

Absolutely, and they should and did get credit for that.

Doesn't mean they are a good football team this year, because they are not.  Also has NOTHING to do with DeSoto or any Texas team, but feel free to deflect away.

If SFA played ESL and DS this and last week, they’d be undefeated. That’s my point. I’ll never penalize any ranked team for losing to greatness.

If a team is competitive with the top teams you can only drop them so far. So yeah if you're the #10 team and you play 1 through 9 you're supposed to be 0-9, you're just supposed to beat 11-14,000.

That said, gettin blasted 18-0 and 35-14 isn't what's hot in these national rankings streets.

Deflect, deflect, deflect....

Some team named Mallard Creek give Buford a much better game than SFA.  When you watch SFA play, what part of the game do you think is good much less elite?  This year.....

How many other hsfb teams in America would be 2-0 after playing Buford and CM back to back on the road?

They beat DS by 40 last season. No TX is considered Tier 1 or elite as of today.

Let’s get real about DS last season.  They also got handled by DV later in the year.  Then missed the all the best by going D2 in the playoffs.

plus stop comparing years past to this year.  This version of SFA is much downgraded!

Just as much talent on roster this season than last.

Just another bogus assumption on your part.
You assume way too much on teams before ever seeing them.

They're not just 0-2, they got shut out and beaten 18-0 and by 21 points in their second game.  Average score so far is a 26.5-7 loss.

What have you seen from this team that you'd call good, much less elite?   Mallard Creek gave Buford. better game on both side of the ball.   At least you'll always have the DeSoto game lol.

And the Mater Dei, SJB and IMG games!

As would the top TX teams. But SFA has the courage to play and compete with them. Thus garnering them a solid SOS which will keep them ranked in polls until they lose to an inferior team.

You call that Courage?  Good god almighty GSB they buy the entire team!
