He broke the mold of the Texas coaches hiding from OOS DV record since playing The Stache is something like 28-1. I am sure those kids and coaches benefited from the game. Once the program played The Stache, DV was no longer intimidated by any Texas team. They just needed the confidence. Great decision by the coach. They’ve never been intimidated about playing NS. They were in the title game 2 times prior to playing MD. if it was all tied to MD why didn’t they win it LAST YEAR?
