Metro/Suburban was the closest system to “fair” that the FHSAA was ever going to create, and they abandoned it after 2 years without a truly good reason. Chaminade fielded a top-3 team nationally last season and outscored their playoff competition 210-7. And California’s one and only playoff bracket is only half good in the South. The North part stinks. The North Florida rural schools couldn’t possibly compete with any of the South Florida powers, ever. So why even bother putting them in the same class? To get their heads smashed in so badly that they consider leaving the FHSAA, or perhaps even consider beginning a new state association? Do you remember Baker County vs Miami Central a couple of years ago? Complete abomination of a game and a travesty that they had to play in the first place. The talent pool in those two parts of the state aren’t comparable whatsoever. Anyone whom tells you otherwise is either willfully ignorant, outright lying/pushing an agenda, or trolling.
