But let's say the above is true every season. How many times has it occurred where teams beat both of them in the same postseason? I would like for you to name the teams from Texas that have had that route of teams in one playoff How many times has it occurred where teams beat both of them in the same postseason? It hasn’t ever happened and I don’t think it would, because that’s how I view a gauntlet of a playoff path. I would like for you to name the teams from Texas that have had that route of teams in one playoff Let’s say Cy-Fair had a great team this upcoming year, 10-0 going into playoffs. They would probably get an easy first round match against Bellaire. Second round would be Katy. If I had to guess, I would say 95% of teams in Houston have never beaten Katy. If they somehow out-Katy’d Katy, they would run into North Shore, Round 3. North Shore is not as intimidating as they were in ‘18-‘20 so maybe there is some hope. If they somehow beat both Katy and North Shore, they would probably run into either Atascocita or Dickinson. Both of them were good in their own different ways last year. Dickinson almost beat Katy and Atascocita and can play amazing defense when they don’t decide to be silly and Atascocita can outscore just about anyone on a great night in the region. They dominated Allen and were a threat until their quarterback hurt himself. If Cy-Fair wins after all of that, Cy-Fair would win region 3. Their prize? Now they run smack into either Westlake or Lake Travis. I think you already know enough about them. If they somehow made it past all of this, they still might have to deal with Duncanville, or Carroll, or Allen, or whoever is coming from that other side of the bracket 😕 When I think of a gauntlet, that’s what I see. Maybe I’m just seeing it different than you but that seems like a really tough order for any team to have to go through. 8 of the 16 teams in region 3 are only lucky enough to have to deal with Atascocita and [Katy OR North Shore] The 6 other teams on their side of the bracket just aren’t that lucky.
