Aledo would never do it 😉
I know a Texas power won’t travel, but if Cocoa came there Aledo might.

Just shows how powerful FLs publics are compared to yours. Your top pubics would never schedule STA in this day and age.
Cocoa has always been a scrappy smaller school. Kind of like Aledo in Texas. Cocoa/Aledo….make it happen GSB.

Why was Bergen top 25 in the nation?
The big 5 (MD,SJB,IMG,Gorman and SFA) would blow out most teams not ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Obviously, St. Frances is off that list this year. Teams ranked 5-10 will usually dessimate those teams in or near the top 25 as well. That is why Chaminade-Madonna was STILL a top 25 team last year after getting blown out by Gorman. So, don't pull the plug just yet on Bergen. They may very well end up with a top 25 ranking when it's all said and done.

24-17. LA isnt giving up. new QB looked great on that last drive. now if LA's d line would get some pressure.
They almost came back! It’s looking like Baylor and McCallie again for top honors in Tennessee.
On a side note, what’s up with Brentwood Acad. this year? They got thumped by Father Ryan last night.

Warren,CA was ranked 333rd nationally and just lost to Woodford County,KY ranked 2,141st in the country!
I’m assuming you’re using Calpreps as your ranking system. You and everyone on here know that they give all the Cali teams a big boost in their system. Still, no excuse to lose to a middle of the road Kentucky team…..

for sure, I was just talking about lipscombs record.
Looks like Lips mob’s gonna have a tough road this year. Especially with that transfer QB gone now. Last I checked Baylor was up 24-10.

STA- SOS of 55.0- Opponents are 4-1 to date
Mill Creek- SOS of 35.0- Opponents are 4-4
I know SOS is the most important element for you. It’s only PART of the equation for me. It’s an important part, of course, but not my tell all.

You'd have STA ranked if they had beaten a no-name FL public by 50 last week.
Maybe. As it stands now I had them at #11 last week, behind Mill Creek by a smidgeon. None of the teams ahead of them lost. However, Buford struggled a bit with N. Cobb for 3 quarters. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet….🤔

STa should NOT be penalized for competing with SJB. AHP is blowing away every ranked team standing in their way. Total dominance.
I agree. Just don’t know for sure where I’ll rank those two yet.

Look for FL to continue to have five (5) teams in our Top 10 next week!!!
I have 3 for sure in the No Nonsense poll (IMG, C-M and MC, of course). STA and AHP are close. I won’t know until I examine all the data after the weekend is over.

That being said I'd like for them to schedule the likes of IMG and SFA going fwd for a true indication of their talents.
They would fare about as well as Lipscomb did.

Both are boarding schools, correct?
Yes, but McCallie is all boys and Baylor is not.

Yes, Baylor is beating up on mediocre teams from NY/NJ rather than test themselves vs the likes of CA, FL, TX, GA, etc.
Baylor is not on that level this year. Losing to Rabun Gap proved that from the get go (SHP and Stepinac may be average teams from that area, but at least Baylor did what they were supposed to and blew them both out). It’s looking like McCallie is the team to beat this year. Maybe they recruited Chattanooga better this off season. They are arch rivals and flip flop every year. It’s McCallie’s turn this year.
Now watch Baylor beat McCallie this year. Lol

yeah this hasn't been our year so far! lispcomb still has christian brothers out of st louis later in the season. in our defense, we were 6-0 on OOS games in the last two years. maybe we can end 2023 7-2?
Baylor lost to Rabun Gap and Oakland got thumped by Center Grove.

Baylor already dispatched a NJ team already. Time to make it 2/2 over these Lincoln lovers!!!!
Two big Chattanooga games with St. X coming to town. Good chance for TN to represent (or get pie in their face). It’s been embarrassing for TN so far lol.

Nothing wrong with losing two, hard-fought games to worthy OOS teams. Time now to win the state of Tennessee.
It won’t be easy. They got moved up to the big school private division. They still have to play at Baylor, Chr. Bros.(MO) and McCallie. Also, Ensworth appears to have a decent squad this year (dominated MBA 17-3). Plus, they would face one (or all) of those TN teams in the playoffs again. Tough gauntlet!

Decent poll after just one week. I might not have dropped Lipscomb that far and I don’t think Oakland is quite top 50 yet. If they go up to Greenwood and beat CG then I will reconsider.

Love AHP at #11! Excited for SJC game on Saturday night.
I like that they threw Walton in there. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from them so far. Who knows, they might even crack the No Nonsense top 25 next week…..

Can't happen as the local promoter barely has a pot to piss in let alone the ability to invest in the evnt. Did you read the post above? Each fan had to pay $12 per game. Who does that?
I agree with Whiteshoes. Should’ve just sold session tickets. Lol

Thanks for the update. Great concept. Shitty OOS teams. With few exception OHs mantra is to win OOS games vs shoddy competition rather than #playthebest and compete favorably or lose.
@reggid @hardhit1
They need to bring back Herbstreit’s Classic. Much better OOS comp back then.

No. I don’t care what anyone tells you, they are not indicative of anything.
IMG was getting demolished by Columbia 33-13 at half and then went on the destroy every team on their schedule except national champ Mater Dei who they only lost by 4 points to
What was the C-M/Miami NW score?

That’s team support! Mobile is a dump. Saraland is just outside. Lol

Losing by only 25 points to this 2023 IMG squad is a badge of honor. I predict that you won't lose another game all season.
Tough way to start the season right out of the gate. They “should” win the rest of their games, but they have a tough schedule.
