MCs MNC already paying dividends!! #playthebest
To be fair they got like 10+ Killian transfers last year before the national title 😂
-
Honestly both teams have a case for not only best in the nation but also best in Florida
It's gonna be interesting to see how it goes down to the wire

I can tell you right now that if MC wins, they're our MNC. If they lose and C-M wins, it's C-M. SJB only gets it if those two lose. Columbus beating Apopka will help MC in the algorithm polls. SJBs season being over hurts them next weekend.
It's your rankings at the end of the day but I would at least consider Chaminade jumping Central depending on how these games go
Central scraping by AHP should at least give Chaminade a potential window to jump to #1 depending on how Chaminade vs Bishop Gorman goes
In fact depending on how these 2 games go I'm considering having Chaminade jump Central in my final FL ranking
-
Maybe BTW if they start to get really good

Correct, or the same name with an *
The only other Dade team I would recommend considering in the future would be Columbus (private school and usually solid)

And MC is close to accepting an invite. Stay tuned!
If they accept it would it become SFL vs USA event?

Cocoa scored on their first possession of OT then Florida High fumbled the ball
Cocoa is the 2S State champions in a thriller in Tallahassee
So far my preseason #1 teams are 2 for 2 in the state finals
My pick in 1S is already eliminated so Trinity Catholic vs First Baptist will be in that game
My 1R pick in Hawthorne is still alive as they face Northview so if Hawthorne wins I'll finish the first championship week with picking 3/4 of the champs from my initial preseason rankings
-
So was it @Nolebull813 or that Florida Atlantic guy on the Florida board that said Cocoa would running clock everyone in 2S this year because the classification was HOT GARBAGE
looks like 2S STATE CHAMPIONSHIP is heading to OT

Pinellas County always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
Crazy there is 67 counties in Florida. And Pinellas County is the 7th most populated county in the state. And not one team in the history of high school football in FL has ever won a state title.
Yeah well if any team in county other than Broward or Dade was looking for their first state title for that county and had to go through Chaminade they would be entering next year STILL looking for that first title
-
Regardless though Chaminade Madonna is legit and they will prove it against Bishop Gorman

lmao. Have you ever watched them play this year? You know how loaded they are?
There are people in SFL that don't even realize how good Chaminade is
I guarantee if they didn't play several well recognized names nationally like St John's and AHP I doubt many outside of Florida would even have taken notice

Good problem to have for the state of FL.
For sure
Basically there's a very realistic possibility that in a split MNC we could have multiple Florida teams having a National title claim
Central and Chaminade have made their marks this season

#1 MC vs #8 AHP
#2 C-M vs #5 BG
And MC already has a road win vs #6 IMG
Yeah but Chaminade would have wins over St John's, Dillard, Treasure Coast, AHP, Miami Northwestern and Bishop Gorman in that scenario
Depending on how close the AHP vs Central game is I think Chaminade still controls their destiny unless Central can win convincing (17+) over AHP

It was a while ago but basically yeah they did. The justification for it was public schools were tired of getting the book thrown at them for trying to keep up with private schools who can attract kids from a 100 mile circumference and the public schools were forced to play against them with zoned neighborhood kids. Legislation was passed to essentially even the playing field and allow public schools to compete under the same rules in the sense that they now can attract talent the same way a private school can.
Yeah the only catch is you can't accept out of area kids if your at capacity without a full move
However I don't think any Dade or Broward publics (at least among the state contenders) currently operate at capacity so they can get open transfers like any private could

AHP/MC is the most important game of the 2022 HSFB season.
It is but even with a win I wouldn't rule out the idea of Chaminade still having an opportunity to jump Central
I wish that could be the Geico bowl game we could get this year
Central vs Chaminade

Playing BG next weekend will provide C-M a meteoric rise in national relevancy despite the outcome.
If Miami Central doesn't step their game up against AHP next week I'm considering putting Chaminade number 1 in Florida heading into that BG game
-
Statement win by Chaminade
Game was never in doubt and they controlled the game against a solid CCC team who just ran into a buzzsaw
Bishop Gorman better be ready or Chaminade will make the flight out to Vegas and beat them on their own turf

Hopefully, we'll soon find out when they play at BG in the Geico.
He will still think they aren't good because they lost to AHP LAST SEASON
It makes me wonder why I even post on any football board because I get tired of having to explain simple stuff to people who will never understand it but the first jackass claiming to be an ex coach from Polk County coming on here saying they know what they talking about and suddenly they listen

Good God you don’t really believe this!
Your damn right I do
You haven't even seen Chaminade play and you immediately trashed them for being high in the rankings because they lost to AHP LAST SEASON in a downpour
Chaminade this year may be the best small school to ever come out of Florida and they are the only team to date this season to have beaten AHP on the year, AHP will be playing Miami Central in the 2M title next week
23 hours ago, Texasball said:IMO everyone is too high on this bunch. Roughly #15 in the country. The schedule is actually weak!
bogus polls / fake news
The only reason their SOS is as low as it is currently is because outside of Cardinal Newman and CCC tonight (which hasn't been factored in to the SOS yet) their opponents in their classification they played were terrible, a weak district and outside of Cardinal Newman their playoff path ended up being filled with weaker teams
This just shows you don't have a clue about the Florida teams but then again most people on these boards don't either so they usually just talk out of their ass and hope nobody points out how behind the 8 ball they really are

I went 3-1 this week to bring it to 19-11 you. You automatically won unless I pick all 9 winners that are the opposite of what you pick. Lol
You should pick opposite of me for the hell of it to see if you can pull a miracle 😂

Last season lmao. Cardinal Gibbons stopped playing STA a while back because the games were lopsided.
STA beat both AHP and Gibbons last year.
No Chaminade vs STA
Ik CG vs STA happened last year

The award for best linebacker in the country still had him listed at Miami Killian (his team last season)
Miami Central, here we come!
