    Not all MD alum despise Servite. I have a lot friends that went there. I like beating them on the field but I respect them.

    Of course what I said is speculation and my opinion. You can make a good case for Servite as #2 in Cali despite 3 losses. But as I said, Cen10 was MD’s best opponent last year on the field, leaving daisy chains out of the equation. And I guarantee you that MD did NOT take Cen10 lightly.

    I am going by what I saw. I saw Servite play 5 or 6 games, including MD twice. Based on what I saw I thought Centennial was better. They were BY FAR the toughest game for MD last year. It was only game all season that at any point during the game I was not certain we would win. Centennial would have beaten Servite and Bosco IMO.

    Cen10 was the second best team last season.

    MD would like to find a home game. The only nonleague game at Eddie West Field is La Mirada. The UT West game I believe is at Bosco.

    Is Gorman going to return the favor and play at MD is 2023? Hopefully it is a 2-year deal since this is just a regular game rather than a showcase?

    What? Poly did play IMG back when Cali teams were still allowed to. IMG killed them but Poly certainly was not afraid to schedule them.

    That would be nice! I don't know if he alone can push Poly to D1 which is what would have top happen. Although I think MD still has an open date so why don't you get to work on it 🙂

    I have no problem with that. You can make a strong argument for Bosco or MD being #1 in Trinity next season. Honestly it matters not because it is thankfully settled on the field.

    Regarding MD, their lines will be massive, deep, and nasty. Watch out for 6'7'' 240 lbs TE Spencer Shannon next year. He is an under the radar player because MD does not feature the tight end much. With his ability that could change next season and I think he will be Elijah Brown's go-to guy. He is already a great run and pass blocker with major offers. He will end up being offered by everybody.

    Cen10 has a better chance beating MD than Gorman IMO. That is saying a lot because Gorman will be good.

    I see this new site is no different than others in that almost every thread gets hijacked. This is a thread about 'Trinity League versus USA'. The discussion above is a good one but wtf does it have to do with the topic of this thread? There is another thread dedicated to Texas so do us all a favor and respect the thread topics. Or else this new site will turn to crap like the others.

    The greatest recruiter is success. Success begets future success. The second biggest recruiter are the kids themselves. Do people really think that coaches and adults from MD and Bosco are going out on the recruiting trail? There is no need to. What does happen is that these kids know each other, play 7x7 together, and are all connected on social media. They want to play at a successful program that will give them exposure.

    I was specifically referring to JSerra a few back when they were good. That was mostly due to one parent of a player writing a very large check.

    MD has scheduled IMG, Gorman, SFA and SJC in recent years. I would say that those teams qualify as ‘elite privates’.

    Come on I thought you guys were better than this! MD beat SFA in 2019. 2020 was a 5 game Covid season. Okay you are correct we did not play them this past season. I am profoundly sorry we didn’t play SFA in 2021. Contrary to public opinion MD does not have limitless resources and we took our show to Texas last season. We will try to do better in the future to please all of you. And yes we are just going to sue the CIF so we can play IMG. Can we at least keep it real on this board please.

    What do you mean by MD ‘won’t’ play SFA and IMG? We are not allowed to play IMG, but fortunately we were able to play them prior to CIF outlawing them. As for SFA, we already beat them once and are looking forward to hopefully playing them again.

    SFA versus Cen10 is a game I’d love to see. I heard talk of this happening in 2022 so whatever became of that?
