  1. True. But their are blowhards saying that NorCal teams beating LA or SD section teams in state bowl games means they are competitive with SoCal. But the reality is that these SoCal teams at the time would not have been in the top 20 of the Southern Section.
  2. You can't make a comparison based on a single common opponent played in different seasons. You need to consider the landscape of SoCal versus Norcal in its totality. If you were to take the top 50 teams from both and match them up 1 vesus 1, 2 versus 2, 3 versus 3, all the way to 50, I don't think NorCal would win many games.
  3. Hopefully not MD. Initial rumor was that he was going to go to MD but he could not get in. I’m sure Bosco or Los Al will welcome him with open arms. We will know soon.
  4. Yes. And there is a large gap between #3 and #4. I don’t care what players Matt Logan has playing for him.
  5. The places where MD does NOT have questions are at QB, RB, and both lines. Gorman may indeed be a tough game. But not because of our DL.
  6. Only if the transfer is to MD does Sondy go on a tirade. It's ironic since MD football has the fewest transfers in the TL.
  7. How many seasons does Nico stay at Tennessee before entering the transfer portal?
  8. True that winning a real game is more challenging. But if Mission has any trouble with Miliani, they are in for a rude awakening later in the season.
  9. It is definitely accurate to say the SM is LOCATED in the most affluent area of all the TL schools. Coto De Caza is home to the real housewives of Orange County 😂 SM also has the distinction for having the highest percentage of latte drinkers among fans in attendance. But a school like MD has what I consider ‘generational wealth’ versus being rich like SM. MD is by far the most diverse Trinity school from a socioeconomic perspective. There are a large number of local Santa Ana kids and also a large number of trust fund kids from Newport Beach.
  10. I don’t know anything about this kid other than he can obviously ball if he has these offers. Santa Margarita is going all in. Based on the rosters at this point they have separated themselves from the 4th place Trinity team. Their game against Los Al is an intriguing matchup.
  11. I don’t think Findley is around any more, nor donI think they had ‘students’ that didn’t play hoops. So the 90 kids you mentioned are 9-12 grade?
  12. CAI sounds like Findley Prep that had about 30 students that were all basketball players.
  13. 1 plays 4. 3 plays against 2, 5 and 6. There are other good match ups. I get how Cali versus Texas has the appeal. That alone makes it an intriguing game.
  14. This is not even Bosco's biggest game this season.
  15. Exactly my point. IMO to be 'national' you need to be known by the casual fans, not just the die-hards like us.
  16. Do they have 5th year players? To be considered 'national' the casual fan that does not go to online boards like this should have heard of them. There are many college teams that are a national 'brand' but only a very few high school teams are a national brand.
  17. What is their national schedule? Is maxpreps schedule correct? According to that they have 6 games total, with 2 games against the same opponent. One game is against an OOS team I never heard of. I wouldn't consider this national?
  18. True and SJB could have scored more. The score alone does not fully reflect how overmatched OS was. So the final score is not the full measure of how badly somebody is beaten.
  19. It’s 2-hand touch football so don’t take too much stock in it. Let’s see what happens when the big boys put on the pads and teams need to block and tackle. Bosco was missing some guys. They are absolutely loaded in the defensive secondary and will be just fine at WR also.
  20. No excuses. Mission was dominant today. I don’t know what players were or were not there. It doesn’t matter in touch football.
  21. I wasn’t there but it appears that way. That was a surprise looking at the scores of how Bosco easily handled their opponents all day. I heard MD had 2 freshman playing CB. So I am not sure whether Zabien Brown, McDonald and Dixson were there. It also appears that MD was not as sharp this weekend offensively as they were last weekend when they steamrolled everybody in the Bosco tourney. But now it’s time for the big boys to put on the pads and play some real football.
