  1. Regardless of definition, I doubt much Texans that follow HS football would really have any continued interest in players who transfer to IMG Academy, other than the parents & family.
  2. Solid schedule. They’ve got North Shore, Katy, Liberty (NV), C.E. King, and Dickinson. Some very good tests. Summer Creek and West Brook aren’t no slouch either but not at the caliber as the others.
  3. I’m not very familiar with the guy. He’s coming from a 4A program in Midlothian Heritage. Seems like he’s been fairly successful there. But then again, we are talking about 4A here…and according to @Steeler01, the smaller schools aren’t worth talking about on a national forum. Wonder how the transition will be for him. Going from a mid-sized school to the behemoth that is Allen.
  4. Yeah, same. The other two games might be blowouts. DeSoto has the talent but not sure if they’ll have the discipline and cohesiveness to beat SFA.
  5. DeSoto vs St. Frances Academy (MD) Duncanville vs Orlando Jones (FL) Atascocita vs Liberty (NV) Allen vs St. John Bosco (CA) Denton Ryan vs Bryant (AR)
  6. Partially agree with you, BUT, Allen will not be a top 6A team this year. I’m referring to being top 10 in the state for their class. Especially with a new coach, and losing a 5 star player to Katy Paetow. I feel like Allen will be anywhere between 15-25. Maybe I’m being too generous, though. I was realllyyy looking forward to this game but that interest has kind of dwindled. Not a blockbuster matchup.
  7. This year is feeling a lot like Georgia 2021 with no team being the obvious choice for the top-spot in the state of Texas, but for me, these are ahead of the pack: Austin Westlake North Shore Duncanville Denton Guyer DeSoto These aren't too far behind: Southlake Carroll Katy Lake Travis The Woodlands Euless Trinity Denton Ryan South Oak Cliff Atascocita And then there's these: Katy Paetow, Allen, Houston C.E. King, Aledo, Highland Park, Rockwall, Dickinson, Longview
  8. Understandable, can’t argue with that. ya hear that @ZPoff MaxPreps? 😎
  9. Smart man, there is no clear No. 1 in Texas as of yet so you didn't include any from the The Lone Star state. Played it safe. 😉
  10. Man, GSB, you're great at what you do but sometimes i question your rationale. He said "comparable public programs" I get it, you're not a big fan of 98% of Texas teams. Paradigm shift?
  11. St. John Bosco is really just playing the brand name of Allen, but they’ll thump their chest regardless.
  12. They’ll beat Servite by 5 TDs, that I agree with you. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s their most lopsided game.
  13. Word? You believe Mater Dei will beat Bishop Gorman by 5 TDs?
  14. Good thing it’ll be a legitimate excuse then 😌 Allen’s chances of beating St. John Bosco were already very slim, they stand absolutely no chance now. Sucks for the kids, getting thrown under the bus against potentially the No. 1 team in 2022. Woosah.
  15. I know you’re joking. I mean, you are. Right? 😂
  16. Now this, I could agree with. Maybe not tier one or upper tier two teams, but better teams nonetheless.
  17. Also noticed that some teams that don't use the services get belittled. Smh.
  18. Couldn't have said it better myself. And this goes for all the other teams across the nation. Not everyone needs to play out of state competition. It's nice for us spectators and aficionados, but not necessary.
  19. Hope not. Kind of hoping to see some change over at Cedar Hill. Bring them back to their glory days. All that talent and nothing to show for it.
  20. I wouldn’t say way more teenage population, Texas population distribution of ages groups 15-19 is 7.2%
  21. I wouldn’t consider Florida a “small” state. Florida is the 3rd most-populous state in the entire country. Out of 50 states, that’s not small. Florida’s population currently sits at 21,944,577.
