  1. So, iron DOESN’T sharpen iron? How has playing St. John Bosco benefited Allen this season? You would’ve thought they’d be battle-tested enough to put up a better fight vs Denton Guyer. The myth of playing elite OOS making you a better team has been busted. Allen also almost lost to McKinney last week. 31-28. Lmao.
  2. Langston Hughes hasn’t beat a single quality opponent. Spartanburg SC is (3-3) so they’re not it. What warrants Langston Hughes a top 14 rank?
  3. At this point, his poll is going to be a carousel of revolving doors with teams dropping and new teams coming in. The rule of a Top 25 team dropping due to struggling with a non-top twenty five of their respective state needs to apply to all.
  4. I don't think GSB realizes that Austin Westlake and Austin Lake Travis are rivals, and one of the biggest rivalries in the entire state. And if anyone knows anything about sports in general, it's that records are out the window when it comes to rivalry games. Austin Westlake is currently riding a 44-game winning streak. Guess who the last team to beat them was? That's right. LAKE TRAVIS. That was way back in 2019. "It’s Westlake’s sixth win in the Battle of the Lakes series since 2006. Coming into the game, Westlake has won three of the last four meetings between the schools, but the Cavaliers have dominated the series since 2006, going 10-5. Lake Travis beat Westlake nine consecutive years from 2008-2016, but last year, the Chaps pounded the Cavs 63-21. Lake Travis has won six state championships, five in a row while in Class 4A from 2007-2011, while Westlake has claimed four with three coming in Class 6A the past three seasons. Lake Travis was the last team to beat Westlake when they topped them 26-25 in 2019."
  5. And just how strong is Illinois? You're gonna run out of excuses to defend SFA, man.
  6. You said that a team doesn't drop if they don't lose. Don't be a hypocrite. St. Frances Academy is still No. 1 in your bogus poll. They struggled with East St. Louis til the very last minute. Did they drop? No. East St. Louis went on to lose to Creekside. Not a good look.
  7. If St. John Bosco was not in the Trinity League, they would NOT be scheduling Mater Dei. No sir. They would be ducking them just like they do SFA, BG, STA.
  8. P L E A S E Would love to see Southlake Carroll go up against an OOS opponent too. But in all honesty, we need the Houston powers to play more OOS games. DFW teams have been letting us down when playing out of state teams. Albeit, playing the cream of the crop of elite national teams.
  9. I’ve always liked East St. Louis, too. One of my favorite non-Texan public school. Up there with Miami Central, Corona Centennial, Mission Viejo.
  10. OOS games never sell-out. Usually Intra state games do. Like rivalry games, etc.
  11. Duncanville really shooting themselves in the foot with all these penalties With South Oak Cliff losing to Lancaster last night, I think that Duncanville win over SOC diminishes
  12. So awesome that Jones brought their band. AND traveled more than 1,000 miles, as a public school.
