That was a one off.   Wasn't SFA still looking for a QB at that time?   That seems to be the only way STA can beat OOS powers is early when the other team is un decided on QB.

It hasn’t been that long ago that BG went to Cali and beat SJB in year that SJB won Cali big boy.  SJB got pass meanwhile Cedar Hill was scolded the very same season for losing to BG.  BG won both games handily!

And didn’t Cedar Hill get bounced early and not live up to the hype? Meanwhile BG won the MNC with an all time regional roster

Bishop Gorman also beat Cocoa that same year, that was the only loss of the season for Cocoa. They went on to win their fourth state title.

They play in the 5th biggest class with about 40 players from a public school. Against a private who gets kids from a LA to Vegas and everywhere In between.

CH had ok season.  That BG team was on the same level as MD has been imo

CH was solid team that year.  That BG team really really good. CH played with them early and got warn down by the size and physically of BG.

The main difference between really good HS football and recruited 🤮 teams like MD, SJB, SFA, IMG, BG, maybe few others is trench play on both sides of the ball.
