GardenStateBaller
Fun Fact: Since 2019, this was only the second time an OOS opponent lost to MD by less than 14 points (BG lost by 3 last season).

No one knows who Baylor is and they are not a power private or a national power. That should unbiasedly put them in the same category as Mount Carmel in your opinion. Therefore, Atascocita should be receiving the same treatment you gave to Saraland; for not only beating Katy, but for destroying an East St. Louis team that beat St. Frances Academy. The same St. Frances Academy who played #1 Mater Dei toe-to-toe until the last few minutes of the game. Either that; or Saraland should be viewed the same way you view Atascocita. That’s too logical and unbiased of a viewpoint, but we know he’s biased and illogical. So there’s that.

NEMonarch083
So, I'm seeing conflicting comments about SFA players. Found out last night at the game that SFA had 7 players suspended after the Buford game, but they returned last night. Didn't say whether they were offensive or defensive players. But then I'm seeing that SFA was still down those 7 players. Something fired them up for last night. Seems the first story makes the most sense for how great they played last night. They definitely played their best game last night. Luckily our defense showed up & played great because our offense was completely off. No players were suspended after the Buford game. Those rumors were started by wishful-thinking MD fans who refuse to accept the fact that they played like shit yesterday versus a depleted SFA line-up. FYI...SJB suspended seven defensive starters for the first half of the Kahuku game for being late to a team meeting. Maybe that's where these rumors are originating from.

We are talking about Saraland being in your top 25; beating a Lipscomb team who lost to Baylor. Baylor hasn’t been mentioned once on this national site or the other one, so don’t change the subject. Saraland is the best team in Bama. They scheduled and beat a ranked, oos Power Private. Therefore, they're ranked. Very simple to understand. Unlike public schools in the UIL, Jesuit does not have traditional “feeder” campuses. It enrolls students from a wide swath of public and private schools across North Texas. Senior centerfielder Darius Hill, for example, went to Plano’s Prince of Peace in middle school and chose Jesuit over Plano West, while senior pitcher Harrison Folk could have attended Coppell. Students living outside of Jesuit’s UIL-designated attendance zone, the same as W.T. White’s, aren’t eligible for varsity athletics in their first year but can compete on subvarsity teams. The school is subject to the same prohibitions for recruiting and “transferring for athletic purposes” as public schools but in addition has a fairly rigorous admissions process and tuition of over $16,000 per year. Jesuit athletic director Steve Koch said that the school hasn’t been sanctioned for a rules infraction while in the UIL and that he believed the school was one of the league’s most observant members, as the school is “constantly under watch.” Koch added that Jesuit’s relationship with the UIL was “very good” — saying that any animosity from other member schools “has drifted away.” https://www.dallasnews.com/high-school-sports/2015/06/12/without-feeders-jesuit-has-unique-situation/ It would be well worth the wait!!
