  1. And nearly 800 miles round trip.
  2. PG is toast. Some South Georgia cheese-it took over the show to stick it to PGL and cut off his nose to spite his face—the boomerang effect. Aside from the artist formerly known as Cajun and a couple of ass hats from Lowndes, it's been a ghost town most of the year.
  3. Fact is there are multiple private and parochial schools in California whose financial assets eclipse Mater Dei. Sports are not as important to them. The option exists for Harvard-Westlake to outbid any school in the Trinity League. HW has more money than all of the TL schools combined. Same applies to Westminster or Bolles either of which have the money to be the dominant paradigm in their respective states.
  4. If the GHSA will leave Milton and a few other programs alone, Georgia might be on to something…
  5. Thanks to Trey Matthews and Josh Harvey -Clemmons. The Barn was a better, mainly on account of UGA’s backfield being a bunch of true freshmen by that time. And no depth at key positions. Gurley and Marshall were gone by mid-season. Old Nick Marshall sure got a rude homecoming the following year in Athens.
  6. SFA was underrated. As for IMG, about next week, your are probably right. The week after? From my optics the 2024 Ascenders don't appear to play team ball as well as previous editions. IMG takes plays off and is not as consistent over 48 minutes.
  7. That was not an upset. MaxPreps is getting lazier by the year.
  8. The option exists for Texas powerhouses to schedule these teams. Although if past outcomes are relevant, said outcomes may explain the reticence on behalf of Texas coaches to make or take the call. Or sign the dotted line.
  9. And after finally finding ESL a Georgia team they could beat. Barely. I've heard stories from a couple of Chicago guys whose team, Buffalo Grove, ended one of Bob Shannons win streaks.
  10. That one aged well.Sammy's response was very much on the money.
  11. Georgia will be claiming them in a few years. Off-topic Bull, but why is Bishop Kenny so lousy at football? Schools put a couple of rosters worth in major league baseball, more than some in the NBA& NFL. They have some money. Obviously have athletes. But they usually suck. Why?
  12. Pretty good for a public school. I wish Buford put more emphasis on offense. Put them two together and we are looking at MD, SFA some years, SJB, and IMG numbers of D1 prospects. Just need for the GHSA to stay out of the way of progress.
  13. Under Kimrey, the nature of this ancient rivalry will change. The man can flat out coach football. And when the talent is comparable, he'll handle the other coach.
  14. Probably why Cedar Hill disappeared.
