Yes but we're talking national football here. And those in state games for the most part means nothing nationally

Let’s keep it real, SJB and MD run the national scene.  Regardless of all this back n forth acting as if there’s a competitive national race, no other programs are close to dismantling both in a season.

and the game that determines that national title every year boils down to instate trinity league MD v SJB. Lol

As a reference Buford v SFA was not better nor more entertaining than instate LH and Carrollton

So yeah the point has now been proven by everyone. There's only 2 schools that really matter. Everyone else is fodder.

MD/SJB play each other twice. The ONLY way one of them wins a MNC this season is if a sweep occurs.

Ratings-wise the SFA/Buford game blew away that GA game.

And ill make the point about the college football reference.

Fsu and Miami is a great rivalry but hasn't been nationally relevant in years.

Most college football games are irrelevant just like most hs games are irrelevant nationally

College football is a national system, HS is NOT (hence the ncaa national title race)

you can look at this site’s lack of activity and prepgriron site as a point of reference to its national interest. High profile instate games will always trump national ones

Idk how anyone can say hs is not a national race when we have national rankings everywhere. Once you rank teams nationally you have a national race. We crown a mythical hs champ every year as the best team based off the national rankings

Yea in terms of attendance most in state games trump national games as the teams in state fans can get to the games

But again tho most big in state games will not mean much to national rankings

So either national rankings need to go and put more emphasis on the state scene or the national rankings have to mean something and we have a national race for the championship

Before BG got 110% recruited up!!!

Jesus little Gilmer TX hung half hundred on Bishop Gorman in 2004.

BG like MD, SJB would not be winning like they do now without recruiting and poaching kids from other programs!!!

Easy for BG to guess become recruited up. They are the only team on the block

Comeback when the playoffs start and especially in Texas and let’s see if your national games compares?  lol

Rankings and the race to #1 is narrow.  Other than this site, MD and SJB have won it the past several years.  Then that’s it, no playoff system

college football is a ranking to the college football PLAYOFFS where the actual champion is crowned.

HS does not have that system. CFB falls under the auspices of the ncaa, HS falls under each states oversight where champions are crowned. Not even close to the same

So than get rid of national rankings in hs they mean nothing. And we'll have hundreds of championships across America.

Right and I believe I acknowledge that in posts before that there is only a couple of teams that matter in hs football

Eliminating national rankings wouldn’t matter to me much, but they’ve been around for several decades. I think they’re just for grins n giggles for the most part outside the top 2-3 spots.

bottomline, it’s MD and SJB in reality, but yet you think it’s intriguing on a national level to see who comes out on top.  Lol

if there was an actual playoff, the discrepancy would be obvious. Teams like central, chaminade, BG and Buford aren’t beating those guys when it matters. Anyone actually watching know this.

I honestly don't care about national rankings. Never really did.
