Dude he’s a multimillionaire who is going back to the college game. the reality is he was probably not motivated to deal with all the BS as a HS HC and seeing as he didn’t need the money felt someone else can deal with the BS for $125K/yr. it’s really silly sometimes the narrative you all create to make SJB and MD be bigger than what they are Edited May 13, 2022 by Horsefly 1

Good thing it’ll be a legitimate excuse then 😌 Allen’s chances of beating St. John Bosco were already very slim, they stand absolutely no chance now. Sucks for the kids, getting thrown under the bus against potentially the No. 1 team in 2022. Woosah.

Him leaving will not impact the result, have you heard any Texans predicting a win? all this departure does it make the game even less intriguing. SJC has players on its roster from DE, DC, VA and MD. Duncanville beat them handily. There was no peep about recruiting back then.

WILKINSON
St. John Bosco is really just playing the brand name of Allen, but they’ll thump their chest regardless.

The program that represents TX Friday Night Lights = Permian Allen is everything that TX HSFB encompasses: Huge stadium, highly ranked, large enrollment, big roster, winning tradition, gigantic band, sell-out crowds, flag girls, etc. As the title of the article states, "Allen is where to best in the state aspire to play." Permian is barely a Top 150 team in TX and Top 1000 nationally. Allen is as TEXAS as it gets!!! 1

The difference between Thing 2 and Allen is, Thing 2 runs California along with Mater Dei while Allen is a great team but hasn’t been a dominant force in 5 years, at least. My man you don’t understand what Friday night lights is all about nor the culture and who epitomizes that the best. the true Texas love for HSFB is best represented in smaller communities where the entire town pretty much closes up to attend games. The Allen hype is in name only now, they just market themselves better for the $$. Edited May 21, 2022 by Horsefly
