  1. Agreed. He is way overrated. I was unimpressed from what I saw. He literally quit against MD. If I was a college coach I would run, not walk, away from this player.
  2. Birmingham is a LA city team. Enough said. They will lose big.
  3. Lol. You're probably right. Which is why I didn't suggest they play MD. I am interested in seeing a good game.
  4. I looked up their enrollment and it says 1500. Olu says 1330. Schools are similar size. Olu will be Trinity #3 or 4 next season. There is no reason to duck Olu.
  5. Exactly! And also after losing 55-8. Give Kahuku credit for beating a sloppy and undisciplined Bosco team. But the game was an upset. I’d rank Kahuku somewhere between 15-20.
  6. Orange Lutheran. They should have a formidable team next season.
  7. Agreed. But most people in Cali care less about high school football and we would be lucky to get 15K people. It wasn’t always this way. In the 1990s we could get 30K to a championship game.
  8. Last season they tried to get the MD/Bosco game moved to SoFi but we thankfully refused to move our home game to a neutral site. Playing high school games in large stadiums sucks. The finals at the rose bowl was terrible, and not because we lost. I’d much rather play at a packed Santa Ana stadium than an empty cavernous NFL stadium.
  9. Who do you think would win if they play again? I think Bosco would win, regardless where they play. I can’t expect Bosco to shit the bed twice against the same team. I give props to Kahuku for a great win. But I wouldn’t have them ranked higher than Bosco.
  10. Not sure what you mean? How are we laying low. If anything the TC incident changed the program for the better. There are no senior transfers of any significance. The school has denied numerous senior transfers over the past 5 years.
  11. Why? Because they only won by 14 points at Cen10 in game 1? Look at the scores after that. 48-14 @ Bingham, 62-0 Creekside, 55-8 Kahuku. what would you have liked to see MD do to deserve being in Tier 1 according to your standards? Based on performances to date there is MD and Gorman at the top, with a gap between the rest. I would put C-M in Tier 1. They have been vert impressive.
  12. Download the ‘Spectrum news’ app. You should not have to pay or login to your cable provider. Use ‘96731’ for the location. This should bring you to the local Hawaii feed where the game will be shown live.
  13. Lol. You had 1Q score so I thought it was on. The game is on Ballys tomorrow
  14. Is there a stream? Wasn’t aware the game started early local time.
  15. Agreed. There were only 3 games during this time that the outcome ever was in doubt (2018 IMG, 2021 Cen10, 2022 Gorman). Servite challenged us in 2020 and 2021 but the outcome was never in doubt.
  16. Because it is a rare event. Last time that we lost to a team not named Bosco was in the 2015 semifinals to Cen10. I’m not counting the forfeited win to Amat in 2018 after we destroyed them on the field.
  17. Are you referring to Dollars and Criddell? That was a debacle. Dollars was not a starter and Criddell got benched the end of the season. What they did was make a mockery out of themselves and it pissed off many of the MD alumni and boosters. I don’t know if MD has accepted a single Senior transfer after that. This year’s team is almost entirely kids that enrolled as freshman. Nate Frazier is the only impact transfer and he doesn’t start.
  18. Based on what? Bosco has a signature win at STA and has played a harder schedule.
  19. The last 7-8 years…. Yes. If you are talking historically…. No. I can only speak for Cali who is top heavy. Nobody in Texas would currently come within 21 points of our top 2 teams. But overall, Texas has better football than Cali. People in Cali are apathetic to the sport. I assess a state by considering the overall quality of every team, not just the top couple of teams. The average neighborhood high school team in Cali is going to play mediocre football and would be lucky to get 1000 people to come to a game on any given Friday. In Texas, the local community comes out to support their team, and usually the level of play is pretty good, regardless of the team. I lived in Texas for 3 years in the 90s so I have witnessed this myself.
