Adam Kurkjian
55 minutes ago, GardenStateBaller said: Correct. In 2012, SJR demolished X 62-0. It was 55-0 at half. Other than Springfield Central, MA teams are terrified of OOS competion outside of New England. They're the Kings of Excuses. That was a bloodbath. But in 2006 and 2007 X was very competitive with SJR, losing 31-21 and 6-3, respectively. X led at half both games. Xaverian and Mansfield both over the years have scheduled a lot of non-NE OOS games. But right now, most teams don't do it. Central does a great job of playing top OOS teams because they see the value in it.

GardenStateBaller
Catholic Memorial MA has two OOS games scheduled in 2023: 9/15 at Cardinal Newman FL 9/22 vs St Francis NY In 2022 Newman lost by 33 to C-M, who lost by 35 to BG so not an elite matchup by any stretch. However, much better than any game vs an irrelevant bordering state team. #babysteps

They got huge games coming up with MNW and Atlantic-Delray. They can be top 15 in the state when they lose to Chaminade in the playoffs

GardenStateBaller
Xaverian MA also got a D-Lineman, Mac Fitzgerald, who will be transferring in from NJ. It looks like he was in Bergen Catholic's D-Line rotation as a sophomore last year. Xaverian's D-Line should be very, very good with these 2 players joining Boston College commit Micah Amedee.
