Nolebull813 Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Pretty funny that suburban Venice beat the dog crap out of metro Columbus in the semis and metro Apopka in the finals to win the championship last year. Not 20 years ago. 4 months ago. Lol. Quote
Nolebull813 Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Lakeland has played St Thomas Aquinas in the state championship 6 times since 1996!! And they are 5-1 in those games. They also played twice in the 90’s in the playoffs and Lakeland won those games. So they are 7-1 all time against STA in the postseason. Not one time did STA bitch and cry to the FHSAA that it’s not fair. They didn’t fight to water down the classes so they didn’t have to play big bad Lakeland. And this wasn’t some small run Lakeland had against them. The games were in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2004, 2005, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2018. The panhandle straight dominated the state for decades. The state titles won by the North Florida panhandle schools were double that of the South Florida schools. Once again, no bitching and crying about it not being fair. Now it’s reversed and all of a sudden it’s an issue. Give me a break. It’s weak men watering down the competition so teams that would otherwise never win a title in a competitive final, get their free little participation trophy. SMH 1 Quote

Nolebull813 Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 That’s about as embarrassing as it can possibly get. Those districts are beyond atrocious. Some of those districts are so terrible that even the winner will be an embarrassment to any playoff bracket. I think we have hit rock bottom is a state 1 Quote

FL is still better even with these recent changes. Quote
