Maybe we should have a tier for states (so basically tier what states overall are tier 1,2,3, etc

Tier 2 OH, MD

T2: GA, OH, NJ, AZ

Yeah I would probably suggest something like this could be used from taking a consensus top 10 states and then breaking them into tiers

 

So who what would be the consensus top 10?

Tennessee is a slept on state. Brentwood Academy, McCallie, Lipscomb, MBA and Oakland is a solid 5. Not too many states from 9-50 can post a top 5 like that

I would say Indiana and Tennessee are at worst tied with NJ.

NJ is top heavy with a few teams. Then it falls off a cliff. And I’m not convinced NJ would go 3 out of 5 or 6 out of 10 vs Tennessee

They have a few recent large publics as well but I think some teams don't get the attention because they rarely play OOS

 

Ravenwood and Maryville come to mind but at least ravenwood has played a few lately OOS, I don't think Maryville has ever played a nationally ranked (top 100) OOS opponent but I could be wrong

TNs Top 5 would go winless vs the T5 from those other eight states. Hence, they're eliminated from this conversation. Gotta win at least one game.

It all starts at the top. No one cares about any team from any state ranked 10+.

If that was the case than how are there states getting 15-22 or so teams from a state in a national top 100 like I see every year?

Are you saying there's enough loaded states that say the 12th ranked Florida team isn't as good as a 9th ranked Arizona team?

A team like Florida can easily have 20 teams who are top 100 worthy in a single season

I'm saying that a few pollsters overrate average teams from top hsfb states.

That’s true. Graham Kapowsin proved that top teams from nobody states can play with the nations best. You can’t just dismiss a team from a non power state because you assume they can’t be elite because they are from some random place.

No doubt 

 

There's also on the flip side with certain states (Colorado) where almost every team in the state will never play a team with a pulse because they know they couldn't compete with an average team from a power state

True. I can’t remember a Colorado team beating any team with a pulse
