Breaking News: NationalHSFB.com Bowl Postseason HSFB Event on 12/16/23

Since the Geico Bowl Series is now defunct, PGL is in the process of producing and promoting the NationalHSFB.com Bowl to replace it. All the necessary state associations have been contacted, as well as every eligible, highly-ranked team. The winning team will receive a check for $10,000 plus the beautiful trophy below! We'll keep you posted on any developments. Stay tuned!

What about Cali? The CIF has never allowed this, and unfortunately I don't see this changing.

Just concentrating on those approved states that were already working with the Geico Bowl folks.

When was the Geico Bowl canceled?  Just a few weeks ago I had heard it was scheduled for December at Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas.

Several Head Coaches and ADs have confirmed this including BGs.

The goal is IMG at BG/GA 7A Champ on 12/16.

Update: Per the NIAA President, Donnie Nelson: 

"Joe, this type of postseason contest would have to be approved by our Board … but it’s way too late for that. The next meeting is not until January 17-18. There is no chance of this happening this year."

So BG gets to avoid IMG yet again. On a positive note we're already in the process of making this National Championship Game a reality in 2024!

Not a surprise---the original NIAA proposal was to limit BG to a single out of state game this year.
