Both teams are 35+ points behind the elites.
They are 35 points behind tier 1 teams like MD. They would not get blown out by other ranked teams.

Do you agree that Serra vs BC would be a vgood game?
100%
That would be a great match up. Serra was a very good team this season and shouldn't be judged based on running into a very hot MD team.

Coming into this week Serra was ranked #24 in USA across all national polls. The last three seasons the Padres have been outscored 124-7 vs MD/SJB. Unfortunately, "The Best in NorCal" doesn't mean anything anymore in the World of HSFB.
It's all relative compared to MD/Bosco. Serra would be competitive with most teams not named MD/Bosco/Gorman. There is a massive gap between these teams and everybody else. I don't think any other team would have fared much better.

Did MD do anything to show they’re not the MNC?
Nope
They toyed with a team that was pretty good and nationally ranked.

So many penalties. Thought I was watching a Dade game.
I really liked the block in the back penalty on the punt that wasn’t fielded and MD just let it roll. lol. Majority of the penalties were encroachment.

C-M only has a co-ed enrollment of approx 500. Those others are much larger. Different classes are fine, but FL really needs an Open Division to improve and maximize their playoff system.
Exactly. Enrollment is irrelevant. Put all the top schools in the same bracket.
-
Ridiculous that Florida doesn't have their best teams in the same bracket. STA, CM and AH all being in different divisions makes no sense.

Maybe cuz he doesn't want to deal with the drama that comes with MD lol
Heavy is the head that wears the crown. The job is not for everyone. But Logan was close to taking it.

Ask him why he didn’t take the MD job. It was his if he wanted it and was the reason why there was a delay in the hiring.

Yet you're promoting Serra's 2024 out of region schedule full-tilt! lol
What does this have to do with Serra? I’m saying I don’t think Birmingham, or any city team, would win. I congratulated them for taking the game.
-
I don’t give any team from the CIF city section much of a chance. But props to Birmingham for taking the game.

We're a natiional HSFB site. Regional games don't excite us.
I get it. I get excited by good games. So it has to be OOS for you to get excited? What if IMG played STA or CM? You don't like MD/Bosco? haven't you always enjoyed Bergen/Bosco?

All three of those teams are solid, out of district teams. However, if they care about national rankings (which they obviously don't) one of those three should've been a quality, OOS team.
Ranking depends on quality of opponents, not their location.
I would agree with you if they were able to get an opponent better than Folsom or DLS that was OOS, then in that case it would help their cause. But it means more to the team and their fans in NorCal to play what are arguably the 2 teams from NorCal with the best reputation.

No OOS games scheduled so they'll never reach their full potential.
So it would be better to schedule an OOS game rather than Bosco in order to reach their potential?
OOS does equal quality nor does a team's state factor into the SOS equation. All I care about is the level of competition, not if they reside in a different state.

I'm waiting until after they win their State Chip!
That would hilarious.

Great nonleague schedule next season for Serra. Much respect for that program and what Patrick Walsh is doing there.

Update:
SJB and Cen10 are both interested in participating in this event. It would be marketed as a GA vs CA event. However, the event organizer can't find any local GA team willing to play either of these teams lol
Mill Creek, Buford, Hughes, Walton, Grayson, Douglas County, Milton, etc. C'mon, man!!! #nocowardsallowed
Call Creekside 😉

@GardenStateBaller you aren’t at the game supporting the locals?😉 I almost went but I’d rather watch it on my couch than freeze my ass off on a Tuesday night. My son is at the game. I’m pulling for Delby since I know some of their kids from town and actually coached them in travel baseball for several years.

Would SFA play MD and Cen10 on an extended road trip?
edit: I would rather see Cen10 play a top Texas or Georgia public
