Flo is not permitted to broadcast any Southern Section games due exclusive relationships with other vendors. Those other vendors will not contribute funding to help pay for the visitn team's travel expenses like PGL/Flo does.
That is not a CIF rule either. That is common contractual policy for any organization. It would be the same with Flo. If you had contractual rights to televise game, you would not permit any other party to televise.

But the same rule applies to MD/Olu who are playing SFA. How much is MD shelling out to SFA?

The game would've happened if it weren't for the CIF Southern Section policies.
What policy are you referring to? MD and Olu are playing SFA and we follow the same CIF rules as Cen10.

1. Public school problems lol
2. I think they could've got enough money for SFA but they wouldn't make much off in terms of ticket sales compared to playing a Cali/West Coast team.
A lot more fans would be much more interested in and attend a Cen10 game versus somebody like Mission Viejo, DLS, any Trinity team, Los Alamitos, etc. SFA is not a draw except to people like us who live in a bubble and comprise of a tiny fraction of the people that actually attend the games.
I don't blame Cen10 for not using their budget to pay for an OOS team.

Not Cen10 as they couldn't come up with adequate funding.
I’m confused. Who couldn’t come up with funding? Are you saying Cen10 would have needed to fund SFA’s travel?

SFA at Center Grove IN
SFA at OLu
SFA is playing at Cen10, at MD, and at OLu?

It's not a rule. That's the mandate that came down from the AD re OOS games next season.
So then the AD instituted his own rule so to speak. I couldn’t imagine working for an AD like that.

Buford is not allowed to travel by air to any OOS game. That rules out any games in TX.
lol.
Who made that rule? What is they ask nicely and say pretty please? 😂 -

@GardenStateBaller I heard Bingham is trying to get out of its contract for the return game at MD. This would be our second game of the season. I’m not sure about the current status. Our other 4 games are set, unless Gorman breaks their contract again which wouldn’t surprise anyone.

Maybe a re-classed Juju transfer? https://x.com/JuJuLewis10/status/1744958907137622186
Makes more sense for him to transfer to Gorman or Bosco. Hopefully he doesn’t transfer to MD. Has this kid ever given any indication that he is transferring?
Given the college football landscape, his verbal to SC is as solid as a roll of Charmin. -

We are replacing the most important position in QB so that is the only question mark IMO. If Inferrera plays up to his hype, the offense will be explosive.
Regarding several players transferring out, nobody was an impact player except Jonah Smith who would have been the third best receiver on the team behind KDW and Harris.
The Monarchs will be just fine next season, much to the chagrin of the haters.- 1

I wasn’t sure what team was going to be #1 in Nevada.

It does bother me that the CIF won’t allow teams to play IMG. It also bothers me when people keep saying that MD won’t schedule IMG or is avoiding them.

Two MNCs in the last four seasons ain't no joke!
Who, IMG? This season they won your poll but not the other 8 polls. They won the Covid year but even that wasn't unanimous. MD can even claim a MNC in the Covid shortened season but we don’t. If we did it would 3 out of the last 4 seasons. But I only feel good about the unanimous MNC in 2021. This season is tainted for us by the first loss to Bosco.

Simple fix. They need to start scheduling IMG.
We can’t play IMG so please stop saying this.
IMG is not all that earlier. They are not as good as they were before. They still are the best collection of individual talent, but they are not the best team. When I watch them play their offensive schemes and precision is nowhere near the top teams.

The VERY major flaw in GSB's poll is that it is MUCH more difficult for SJB or MD to end up #1
SJB and MD must beat each other TWICE plus seek out and win a Marquee OOS (State Champ) opponent. They also have to win the max preps rated toughest playoff division in America
SFA and IMG ONLY need to beat (1) middle of the road OOS state champ, and run a midling schedule of 9 teams with no playoffs to worry about.
This would be equal to DV and NS playing each other twice and then winning 6A
100%
another way to look at it…… If teams A and B are the two best teams, and team B beats team A, that does not mean team C is better than team A.
MD and Bosco get punished in the national rankings for having to play each other.

Having Gorman at #11 says all you need to know about the credibility of this poll that I have never heard of.

Hearing that if the Open Division comes to fruition, IMG will be included!!!
It would be great to have an undisputed state champ in Florida. Long overdue.

For Massey, it's how his algorithm weights the Offensive Power to Score that pulled MD down and raised De Soto and Duncaville. The TX bias is primarily that variable and the numberer of games TX teams play in a season. Massey does not provide the "weight" to SoS that other Selectors do. Massey's HS ranking algorigm skews the math towards the variable of offensive scoring figuring that over time it is a better predictive determinate of HS football winning results. Given the total points and number of games the two TX teams played (and others 5 TX teams in his top 20), you can see the trend at the end.
So much for defense wins championships!

The state of Texas loves Massey.
