GardenStateBaller
BEST WORST SJP 102.9 Hughes 38.8 STA 96.9 Duncanville 44.1 Lipscomb 90.5 DeSoto 48.0 SFA 85.3 Buford 54.9 Cen10 83.3 BG 60.3 The teams in the BEST column are a combined 1-7 YTD. Those in the WORST column are 8-0. Like it or not, our poll will always favor those on the left for competing against the best at all costs. Those on the right will always have a tougher time until they beat an elite like MC did last season (IMG).

They have not proven themselves against nothing but a handful of teams, also given lofty ranking without consideration of anything but their results against that same over-ranked opposition, mostly recruited up teams. We have seen this past two weeks that many of the top 10, top 100, top 250 teams in America, are surviving on reputation. Next year, a couple more will join them. Polls are fluid and they change and improve as the season progresses. Both privates and publics are surviving on reputation. In the end, the creme will rise to the top. But you'll never get to the top of the mountain without either a strong SOS or marquee win.

So, St. John’s College should’ve been the MNC in 2019. They played Mater Dei, IMG Academy, St. Joseph’s Prep, and Duncanville. Their strength of schedule stands alone. And just how many teams are watching, knowing they could match-up great against these highly ranked teams? Over this weekend, some teams on display, ranked rather highly, look like they could easily take a loss. St.Ed's won and looked like they were playing in mud. Point is, names are just names. Teams are playing to their capabilities, the good one's. The others................are not very good. Keep doing what you do. Georgia is now at the national party. Let's see who dances with whom in the near future. Edited August 28 by Sportsnut

If your SOS / schedule is below the Mendoza line, then no one cares what your record is.
