How has that worked out for DV Women's Basketball?? Not happening in football.
I’m talking men’s basketball! It worked out fine for the boys as they kicked plenty private school asses. And Desoto women BB has done well and is the new Texas power.
the point is those programs WANTED to be a national power…and they were by proving it on the court. -

Going forward there's NO WAY any public will win a Natty with out a win vs an elite, OOS team or Power Private during said season. Not happening.
Once again you’re not listening just talking. Once publics start seeing the benefit of winning a natty they can put together teams to compete/beat privates. Just like in basketball.

I'll post it again. A public will ONLY win a Natty going fwd IF they beat an elite, power private during that said season.
You act as if that’s an insurmountable task. It’s not. When more schools start seeing the value in competing for a MNC it’ll happen.

MC won one last season ONLY because they beat IMG. The pollsters are now all in sync. The days of winning a Natty after going undefeated vs a weak schedule is over. SOS is the paramount criteria now and forever.
I’m not arguing any of that. you make ridiculous comments then divert to what is not being retorted.
You don’t have a genie in a bottle, you can’t make the claim that a public will never win another MNC. Too many variables can adjust things in the future. It’s that simple -

The truth is a public program will never win another MNC again unless they beat a Power Private like MD, SJB, IMG, BG, etc. in said season.
you’re staying never is silly. A lot happens from state to state and program to program in any given year. Just like anywhere else…college/nfl etc.

That's my belief.
Answer this, why hasn't Duncanville had this much talent on their football teams before Samples?
Previous coach didn’t develop them at the lower levels. Samples puts a lot of effort/energy into the middle schools.
I’m sure families are moving into DV to get their kids into samples program (Duncanville is a robust suburb) and probably a small percentage take adv of OE.

Lol, so Samples arrived and they magically grew 4 and 5 star players at the school.
Sounds logical
It hasn’t been magical, he was hired in 2015 and he won his first title in 2022.
you say 50% of his starters are outside of Duncanville, who are they, that’s s high percentage?
a matter of fact I recall you claimed DV gets on average a transfer 4**** every year. Who are these star athlete transfers the past 2 seasons?

So where were the 4 and 5 star players before Samples arrived?
In elementary school

San Marcos HS is open enrollment. They thought they could do a similar thing like MD does in picking up about 7-8 or so athletes outside the school zone and car ride in. They got busted and reprimanded by the uil and the transfers were denied.
OE is not a workaround or pass from uil transfer restrictions.

Open Enrollment = Private
Open enrollment is a TEA initiative (academic) its not a uil sports workaround. Uil imposed transfer restrictions with OE campuses.
I can list them but you can also look them up yourself

I would say 70 to 80 percent of the roster, but the starters maybe 50 if that.
Then name them and where they live.

Lipscomb lost to Baylor. No one knows who Baylor is and they are not a power private or a national power.
That should unbiasedly put them in the same category as Mount Carmel in your opinion.
Therefore, Atascocita should be receiving the same treatment you gave to Saraland; for not only beating Katy, but for destroying an East St. Louis team that beat St. Frances Academy.
The same St. Frances Academy who played #1 Mater Dei toe-to-toe until the last few minutes of the game.
Either that; or Saraland should be viewed the same way you view Atascocita.
That’s too logical and unbiased of a viewpoint, but we know he’s biased and illogical. So there’s that.

Texas is in district play. You probably don’t know what that means.
He doesn’t, it’s like arguing with a wall.

It starts at the youth level. They don’t emphasize special teams. Some leagues don’t even do kickoffs, or field goals. In Pop Warner you get 2 points for an “extra point” and 1 point for a “two point conversion”
Of course So Fla has tremendous athletes, I’m curious how extensive is the weight training though?

Interesting move and interesting timing.
That legitimately could be a parent job relocation. (Enrolling at Conroe)

This was the same exact process as used for the SJC, IMG, Mater Dei and Jones games. My calls and emails were abundantly clear that MC was the preferred opponent and game, which would've been broadcast to a national audience to boot. He chose to pay MORE $$$ to host the worst of the three OOS teams. Nuff said. #nocowardsallowed
Lol you keep repeating the same thing we already know and thinking it reveals WHY he chose rockledge.
You’re not any closer to Sample’s reasoning than you were months ago
You talk so much about sos, it’s going to comical to see how you squirm when DV/NS sos 📈 while many of these teams sos 📉

His options were MC, Creekside GA and Rockledge FL. He chose the worst team AND dished out the MOST money to host them. #nocowardsallowed
All you’re doing is repeating what we already know. We know he chose rockledge (that’s is not disputed) but you don’t know why?
again rockledge wouldn’t have been a choice if you didn’t broker the deal.
did you even bother to ask samples why he passed on MC and Creekside?

He wanted a guaranteed win. And that type of behavior will never be rewarded in our rankings. Let's see what happens on 10/27.
Is that what he told you?
So if you are so disappointed with him choosing rockledge, why did you as the promoter give him rockledge as an option?
-
12 minutes ago, GardenStateBaller said:
DV avoided MC to play Rockledge. #nocowardsallowed
And you don’t know details why they chose rockledge over the others (you gave them rockledge as an opponent) even though you supposedly have a relationship with samples. Smh

McCallie and Walton are ranked behind your Big3 for the same exact reasons.
CQ blew out a quality OOS brand in DF on Flo. See how easy this is?
Beating DF trumps beating Mansfield Lake Ridge 76-0!
DF is ranked #657 in calpreps, rockledge is #570.
So who had the better OOS win this season so far, CC or DV? Lol

Let me repost what YOU said:
Of the top teams in America (top 25) only two (2) currently have SOS less than 33.0:
that is false!

NS: 31.2
DV: 32.3
Neither can use their cheat codes anymore to garner prominent rankings across the board.
McCallie sos is 29, Walton’s is 28, colquitt is 27. I stopped looking after that. Smh

Yeah there is a way, CP has SFA #26 and we all know ESL beat them and was then demolished by Atascocita. Cita has a legit argument for being top 17 in CP
(there are a lot of team comparisons that can be drawn from SFA and their opponents)
