Doesn’t change the fact this is their best team! You act like DV is not capable of being better in 2023. I’m not arguing schedule!
They are capable, but up to now you can't claim that and point to anything that proves it.

Starts with the QB and nasty defense. This is not 2021.
That defense in 2021 dominated in Texas. Destroyed poor Carroll's great offense.
4 minutes ago, Texasball said:The offense has progressed with better QB and over better kids around him. This defense is built different. Most legit that I have seen at DV!
They haven't played anyone. Let's be serious.

This is best DV team in the Sample era.
Based off of what?

This is the best DV team ever!!! Much different animal than the team who played IMG and MD.You sleeping on Texas this year!
The DV team that MD played dominated Texas till the finals(Including the ass whipping of SLC in the Semi's).
This DV team will be in a dog fight in the finals again. Same dominance, different year.

No out of state team has beaten Mater Dei. They are 17-0.
At least going back to 2003.
They've never lost OOS

And the Hawaii officials beat SJB, not KAH 😉
Same thing the DB coach for MD told me(His daughter plays soccer with my daughter)

That’s easy to say the lose in HI says different!
MD beat that team by 50 and is losing here

SJB is as good as last year. No drop off.

Yet Cen10 only lost to #1 MD by 14. Cen10 is ranked from 8-18 depending on the poll. And they deserve to be in our opinions.
Mater Dei could've run the ball every down and scored 50 on Centennial. Why they chose to play a balanced game you'd have to ask the coach.

Help me understand if Cen10 loses to the #1 and #2 team in America and beat the the #16 and Hawaii # 2 team. They should not be in the top 25. MC lost to #2 and #6 team but they are in the top 15 in the polls. Tough schedule matters. Wake up Texasball and Steeler01.
That's if you assume those rankings are correct and I don't.
MC played BG to a last second FG. How did Centennial do?

This CC should not be ranked in top 20

DV was way better than 42 even that year. Sometimes you Lay big egg. Win was earned 42 was fluke! Yes I believe that.
i doubt it. They ran into a top 2 MD team imo. That was the most complete MD team imo.
I also think Duncanville is to basic on offense to give MD's defense any problems any year Samples has been there.

I'm with you and think that certainly may happen and think the article you quoted said the same. All coaches/schools have different thoughts and ways to approach that.
You'd like to think that the coaches/ADs are all doing the right thing for the player and answering honestly, but I'm certain that's not always the case. There is the recent (yesterday) case of the kid ho transferred to Southlake Carroll. Was not given a clean PAPF by the sending school, the district committee upheld that and denied eligibility, the state appeal board did the same, but the in rare case reversed the decision and he's eligible now.
There were some extenuating academic concerns that were confusing during the state hearing, but cleared up and they reversed the call.
From what I've seen, including from people from the sending district it appears to be the correct decision.
When there's money involved(coaches salary), everyone will do what's best for themselves in the long run as well.

Not sure I understand the question. Who's doing it for yourself?
Not a question.
Why would you deny someone if you're gonna have to ask that same person to allow a transfer into your school.

There are quite a few kids around the country that fake their address around the nation. If they transfer they need to have a PAPF signed off on by their releasing school.
That's a check mark. Why would you not do that, if you're doing it yourself? Looking at Desoto, Cedar Hill and Duncanville.

if they don't move, they have to sit a year. (Matt Stepp is a writer for Dave Campbell)
A kid can transfer to Duncanville or SOC and play right away if he's established residency in those attendance zones and has a clean PAPF...if they transfer to those schools and dont live in the attendance zone they have to sit for a year automatically
That's if they transfer. Start your Frosh year there, you don't sit. Also, how many kids around the country fake their address?

Maybe later, we'll compare the total number of 2, 3, 4, and 5 star players between those 3 schools(Desoto included) in 2012 as opposed to now. I'm aware of SOC maybe getting a couple of their players but I doubt it's much.
