Yes it does matter steeler. When Katy destroyed cedar hill in ‘20, Katy entered as a 2d place district team. Chill walked through the best of DFW
They were also 2nd in their district. I like your narrative. Carroll and Duncanville were the best in Dallas both were in division 1
So tell me how they could walk through the best from Dallas without playing the top two teams from that area.
Just now, Horsefly said:What DFW teams beat Allen at home much less by 21 points? They’ve had 11 seasons to do it, but Houston Atascocita did it with a less than elite team. Allen was top 5 in DFW last year
When's the last time Allen played a top 2 team from Dallas at their stadium?

Winning a title has nothing to do with whose a better region.
Who destroyed the Houston teams that are considered Depth teams in Houston?
Using the title argument, the Austin area is as good as any

Trying to follow along, and unclear whether this line of discussion is supposed to prove Texas' strength or weakness lol
It has nothing to do with that, but I get why you could see that

Yes and DFW won none! NS and their difficulty managing their schedule is the argument
who handed allen their first regular season home loss in over 11 years?

Lol no they haven’t. I just went through the teams you listed and their seasons. They’ve absolutely played the best of DFW had to offer since ‘18. Hell, chill played them to within 14 in ‘20 who went on to the D2 finals.
You went through each team where they lost. That's all you did.
They haven't played the best 3 or 4 teams annually like NS does.

Westfield and spring aren’t all there is to Houston.
when was the last time DFW won any 6A title steeler?
No, but you're claiming they're better as a region. NS has won the big titles. Katy has won division 2 when division 1 has the heavy hitters. Basically NS is your entire argument for "they're a better region argument of you go by titles"

Allen, Martin and Ryan last year weren’t going to give them a more competitive game than sLC.
Westfield and spring aren’t all there is to Houston.

Who said last year? In the last 4 years they've had teams to give them better games than teams they've faced.

My point was Westfield loses in the playoffs regardless of who they play. In addition to losing to Desoto and Duncanville in b2b years, previous to that they’ve lost to Guyer, Longview and lufkin. And they had a successful regular season all those years too
Westfield the last 4 years
2018
Lost to NS
Lost to LV(State Champ)
2019
Lost to NS
Lost to Guyer in the Semi's
2020
Lost to NS
Lost to Duncaville
2021
Lost to Desoto
They're losing to the top teams from Dallas in the playoffs

Ryan is 5A
allen was last competitive in ‘18, lost to Rockwall in ‘19, trinity in ‘20 and SLC in ‘21
guyer was 6-6 in ‘18, lost to SLC in ‘19
Martin was 5-6 in ‘18 and lost to SLC in ‘20 and ‘21
Last year Guyer would be the only team that was on par with SLC or Desoto, the rest were not.
the true assessment is that DFW is a weaker region that Houston in general
You're mistaken what I said. Duncanville doesn't play but one or maybe two top Dallas teams annually on average
In the last 4 years the teams I mentioned in a given year were top Dallas teams and Duncanville didn't play them. NS has played a lot more top Houston teams than Duncanville has played top Dallas teams.
Desoto- Westfield proved the bottom quote to be a lie

Who else would be more competitive than Desoto and SLC in DFW?
Teams in the last 4 years
Allen, Guyer, Ryan, and Martin off the top of my head
The more you play top teams, the more possibilities of you have of having a close game.
NS was playing Katy twice a season when Katy was in division 1. They play Westfield annually. Duncanville plays Cedar Hill and Desoto. Only twice have they been top Dallas teams in the last 4 years.

Games are about match ups. Why the hell does NS have a harder time, yearly, with Houston area teams than DV does with DFW area teams?
NS plays the top teams from Houston a lot more than Duncanville plays the top teams from Dallas too

Westfield and spring lose every year in the playoffs. Nothing new. Neither has been to a semifinal in decades. But you’d know that steeler if you actually watched the games.
Which has nothing to do with who the top teams in Texas are. Brackets matter for that too. Westfield in Lake Travis's bracket would make the Semi's annually. Would that make them better than they currently are?

And SLC, Guyer,China Springs and Katy are some kind of juggernauts? It would appear these teams are hiding in Texas….for good reason I would add
Denton Ryan, Atascocita, Allen, Tompkins, Westfield, DeSoto, Spring etc nothing to write home about.
It was great that Westfield and Spring had to play Desoto and Duncanville or they would've lost to a Houston team in the playoffs. Which would cause delusional fanboys to prop them up as something they weren't

Well you need to go back again and watch, #10 ran all over the NS defense in the second half. DV didn’t do shit against that defense, held to ~190 yards. There were clearly better offenses NS faced than DV’s
Clearly better offenses sure, clearly better teams hell no

NS- Duncanville was a 1 score game all game long. There was never a difference of 3 scores. The only reason that game was close in the end was turnovers. With the amount of turnovers they had vs Tompkins, they should've lost. That happens vs Duncanville they lose

Look at the final score and the full 4 quarters, NS almost lost that game, it came down to a 1st down conversion.
I watched the game. I don't need to look at anything

Nobody's arguing that CA has the top 2-3 in America annually. Overall, I think teams #4-20 in TX and FL may be a tad better going down the line.
I'd like to see the games.
I think Florida is stronger usually in the 4-8 spots

No there’s not. north shore actually lost and had a closer playoff game than the one with Duncanville. Do a little more study on Texas and you’ll see why that’s the case. But I’ll let you stumble on what’s going on in Texas on your own
That game wasn't closer. Northshore up big and turns the ball over back to back and the game gets close. The Duncanville game was one play either way all game long

I don't think the gaps are that wide in TX and FL.
No, but they also didn't have their top 3 in the top 10
This last year Duncanville was borderline and look at what happened to the 4th best team when they played

I'd say there's a huge drop off after MD, SJB and Cen10. No?
I'd agree, but what state wouldn't have a drop-off if their top 3 are top 10 teams in the nation?

I don't agree with the Calpreps rankings, but for the sake of this argument, No. 15 Stephenville would not last more than two quarters against...
No. 17 Westfield
No. 19. Denton Ryan
No. 22 Lake Travis
No. 24 Katy Tompkins
And then you have Lorena at 25?? Would lose against...
No. 39 Rockwall-Heath
No. 40 Highland Park
No. 41 Euless Trinity
No. 44 Ridge Point
No. 45 Dickinson
Let's be real. I feel like for an argument of top 25 vs top 25, you have to be familiar with the depth and teams of both states. No bias included.
That's the problem, most of these people have to much bias

NS walked through Houston with ease in 18-20. What playoff game was close
