  1. I have family that lives in Allen. The first thing they always bring up is their stadium. It's the jewel of their City/ Town. They like their football team being one of the best in Texas. They're actually pretty good in every sport. They dominate wrestling in Texas as well
  2. Not true. Yappi I believe still has the predictions for that game. Everyone thought DLS was the underdog that first year. Let alone the 2nd year
  3. Katy is your only example. What happened to Steele and Stony Point? Northshore could be split up again. Galena Park sucks.... You think it's a coincidence that Galena Park has no good players, but Northshore is always amongst the most talented rosters in Texas? Galena Park is an open enrollment district also 0 players in the 2023/2024 database for Galena Park. Yes, Northshore is playing with only neighborhood kids huh?
  4. No, the UIL doesn't allow them to operate like a private school. Jesuit could easily sue and win
  5. 2013 Dillard sucked True Chaminade Madonna won 2A and got beaten down in Florida by the only top team they played(Booker Washington).
  6. It seems that way...... scheduling and beating DLS these days doesn't help this case either. Good team to schedule, but hardly a win that's gonna vault you to the top
  7. Schedule those teams and beat them. Don't rely on we won our state championship and are undefeated so we should be ahead of them
  8. You think Westlake was better then MD last year or SJB in 2019? Not counting 2020 covid year
  9. Plano is made up of multiple 6A schools. Allen is a one school town with Lucas Lovejoy getting a very small portion of Allen. You set up one school towns like Allen across the country, many schools become much much better
  10. It works pretty well in states where teams play each other from different areas or divisions. In Southern Cali with the way teams are broken up into divisions by calpreps for postseason play, there will be teams that get ranked higher because of the postseason boost given that shouldn't be rated as high. Serra was a perfect example last season. They played in division 3 in the section, but ended up in the top 15 for the state in calpreps final ranking.
  11. Kaiser for the first 4 to 5 years of its existence, soaked up most of Fontana's talent and dominated the lower divisions with it
  12. Have no business in a top 25 right now. They have to prove they belong there
  13. I don't think that hurt Texas. Outside of STA, IMG and SFA I don't think any State's top teams would've fared much better.
  14. A top team will have destroyed most of those teams by halftime or early 3rd quarter
  15. The opponent has to be able to beat you. You can play 16-30 games, but if those teams have no chance at winning or a very small chance you're not losing barring a ton of injuries or a ton of fumbles Estero in 1998 was a finalist in Florida. Losing twice(Lost the finals to osceola) all season long. DLS would've had a longer winning streak playing 16 games against their local competition. Those teams didn't have a chance outside of Pitt in 95. I don't think DLS from 96-03 had an opponent in their local area that was a true top 10 Cali team. Many will say San Leandro but San Leandro didn't beat anyone outside of that local area either to prove themselves.
  16. I'd liken it to saying, the 7th seed in the open would play, SJB/MD, followed by CC followed by SJB/MD and then play DLS
  17. That's not true. Just look at last year for example, Katy Division 2 and NS Division 1. But let's say the above is true every season. How many times has it occurred where teams beat both of them in the same postseason? I would like for you to name the teams from Texas that have had that route of teams in one playoff
  18. We said a certain path. When did a team play all of the above in one playoff?
  19. Yes it is Very few teams have a gauntlet task in the Texas playoffs. Westlake isn't one of them that's for sure
