Wrong again! Do your research! Greyson over MC was NOT an upset. Greyson was coming off a state championship with the #1 player in the nation Robert Nkemdiche and a preseason #1 ranking in the ESPN poll, now merged with USA Today. They were top 5 in every major poll. MC on the other hand was a junior/sophomore heavy team. Many kids graduated from a forfeit plagued season the season prior. Although MC had Dalvin Cook and Joe Yearby both juniors, the offense had no identity. The QB was a transfer that played LB at Columbus prior to MC. In 1 1/2 games as a starter he didn't engineer one TD drive. MC was only ranked in ONE preseason poll (#1 by USA Today) which was completely premature and WRONG!
Try again!!
Plus Grayson had Wayne Gallman at RB.and a DB whose name escapes me who was a three-year starter for Clemson. They were loaded.

It would be a shame if someone posted this on the Junior Board. Then we'd have to start an over/under on how long before Hawg censors it (like he censors most anything else of legit interest)
You were referring to Cartman right?🤣

He said nothing more than what I did in saying the competition in the Houston area seems stiffer than other parts of the state.
The script has flipped in Texas. A decade ago the power seemed to be concentrated in the D-FW metroplex. Allen, SLC, Euless-Trinity. What happened?

Moeller was traveling to CA (Servite) and MD (DeMatha) in the 80s.
Those games were played at Nippert Stadium. Saw a clip of Faust welcoming Jerry Franks and the DeMatha squad at the Cincinnati airport. Pretty sure Buerlein and Servite headed east for the 82 game.

That was a different day and age. His priorities have shifted exponentially for the foreseeable future.
His, or maybe the school's administration. Camden chewed up some damn coaches before Herron was hired. Luther Welsh who won about 300 games, and turned around the most diverse types of programs, inner-city, and rural, said about Camden you couldn't walk a step without stepping on a political mine.

I agree. PGL has already offered our scheduling services to them if and when they form their own association.
The GHSA declared war on private and the city school system public schools with the latest reclassification. No reason for Buford, Valdosta, Marietta, Carrollton, Thomasville, and a few others to put up with the heavy-handedness.

OH- must be D1
FL- must be either 7A/8A
TX- must be 6A
GA- must be 7A, especially with Buford there now
Not necessarily. The Georgia old privates, Marist, Benedictine, Woodward, plus the city schools have the opportunity and should join the new GIAA and let her rip. That would put a bee in the bonnet of the Hawg/Cartman and the rest of those South Georgia pussies.

These guys will ONLY schedule a guaranteed win.
What happened to the Jeff Herron who scheduled Miami Central and STA in the same year? Home and away with Hoover, and an at the time excellent Aiken SC type of team?

No love for Marietta and Miltons wins over a couple of solid SJP squads?
