They're refusing to schedule the elites despite they having the same exact features and benefits.

I am sorry to hear that. And disappointed. When I read Kimry was leaving Hammond, the first thought that crossed my mind was that the only reason he'd leave his alma mater would be for an opportunity to reach for the gold.

First off, I got that from a Tennessee site that isn’t always accurate. On the other hand, McCallie always schedules a couple OOS teams every year that will challenge them.

McCallie is an all boys boarding school with a lot of money. It’s possible they could be helping out with the travel expenses. McCallie is usually pretty good. Oak Ridge will have their hands full.

Look for the Baylor School to become more aggressive in regards to football. Erick Kimrey is a good coach. I watched a few of his Hammond squads. Baylor will be a tough out going forward.

    Show em the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

It will be interesting to see if the new commissioner is going to ignore the overpaid gym teachers masquerading as coaches south of the Gnat Line. If he does what those chumps want, that might cause GHSA a conundrum. I would love to see the independent city school systems flip the GHSA the old one-finger peace sign, and,  with about 20 or so private schools break away and have their own leagues based on enrollment, and the big schools free to legitimately operate as open enrollment, or however they see fit. I get the drift that ex-communication from all of the other sports  is  keeping a number of programs like say, Milton, Buford, and some others from going off the reservation.

Seminole ain’t ready, they lost to the 30th Florida team and Cocoa by 4 touchdowns. They don’t get transfers at break neck speed like Buford, have never traveled in their life, and would have had to go to Buford to play the wolves and the GA refs. Too much for the 20th FL team

    Pussies.🤣

*Hughes (9-2) at Rome (10-1): This is a rematch of last year’s semifinal game that Hughes won 42-3 on the way to its first state title. Fourth-ranked Hughes, a No. 2 seed this year, beat North Forsyth 41-7 last week. Hughes led 14-7 at the end of the third quarter but broke the game open with four fourth-quarter touchdowns, including two on Justus Savage runs. Savage finished with 170 yards on 24 carries, giving him 1,192 yards for the season. Air Noland passed for 225 yards (2,242 for the season) and two touchdowns. No. 6 Rome ranks second in scoring average (50.82) and first in points allowed (7.0) among Class 6A teams after a 56-0 first-round victory over Sprayberry. It was the Wolves’ fifth shutout and ninth game allowing eight points or less and their eighth time scoring at least 55 points. Reece Fountain had thrown for 2,285 yards. D.K. Daniel had 808 yards receiving.

Rome flipped the script. 42-14 and this one was never close.

Does this take into account all the old people and Yankees that moved to Florida?

Or the halfbacks? Who are upsetting the real estate markets anywhere above the gnat line? They get tired of the heat and property tax, so move to Georgia from Lincoln County to the tri-corners. Even the Brits and Canucks have outposts all over the North half of the state.

I love Benedictine and how Danny Britt approaches the game. In a one-off game, the Cadets could best many of the teams on the list. Mill Creek and Walton might be a bridge too far. A couple more may simply have too much size and quality depth. I hope he keeps it going and is able to cast a wider net and truly make Georgia proud.

    Where's the love for Creekside.

No love, but definitely some respect. Their coach and by extension, their team have the balls to challenge the best. Something that can't be said for Georgia’s premier programs. Buford being an outlier and thus excluded

Stealing??? Wasn't BG leading for 46 of 48 minutes?

It will be interesting to see how CenTen holds up against the Bishop. Some sites and fans place an emphasis on comparative scores. If BG clobbers Central and CenTen in a particularly ugly manner, the order of Tier 1 could become a sliding scale.

  10. Propsts 2020 team was infinitely better than what the “community” hire has cobbled together. Bigger, faster, more disciplined, and deeper at nearly every position. And in my opinion, would have beaten this Massillon squad by a comfortable margin. Massillon is a good team. But not invincible.  The people running the show in Valdosta are dumb as a brick. Were that not the case, at minimum a few of Lowndes guys would have transferred in. Valdosta would be the among best in Georgia by now had the Baptist hypocrites not cut his throat. I am disappointed Valdosta lost, though after the way they crapped on Propst and Rodamaker or whatever, they are being served what they deserve.

    Highly doubtful

SJB is located near north long beach and near the intersection of 3 major freeways, so they can draw from Long Beach Poly 500,000 population, plus their reach extends about 50 miles north, west, and east due to the freeway situation.  Plus they have a very supportive admin to give them carte blanche.

Then returning Carson or Banning to their glory days would be a pie job.

Thanks for making this game happen.  I do think Buford's in over its head, especially for Game 1, against a perennial Tier 1 for whom travel is practically no handicap whatsoever.  Coaching at the top tier privates is different, too.  I think Raiola gets a rude welcome.

A few more of these and maybe the City Schools along with the private and parochial schools who have been treated poorly, will exit GHSA, go independent, and amp it up and go big-time.
