GardenStateBaller
Parish Episcopal beat Aledo 24-17 this weekend. That coupled with Prestonwood Christian beating Coppell last season has the TAPPS programs trending up! Note that @Texasballand I will be at the Guyer/Aledo game this Friday night. pied
I'm not putting much stock in the Jesuit - Hebron game. Not an unexpected result Really can't wait to see Jesuit play Highland Park later this season.

Note this - Episcopal got beat last year by LBJ Austin - who got beat in 4A 1 title game by Stephenville! Meanwhile PE run ruled them Tapps teams in the playoffs. Aledo is now 5A D1 so it will be interesting to see how this team finishes this year. Prestonwood also got beat 49-21 by Garland who got beat in 6A 1st round. Coppell was 5-5 3-4 in district non playoff team.

Texasball
They are not on the rise. We have seen this before with Bushop Dunne / Bishop Lynch / Trinity Christian / Prestonwood/ Nolan Catholic The best is far cry from being the best in state. truth is I doubt very seriously the best private would beat the best 5A D1 team when it all shakes out. beating 6a little elm who has done nothing in this state in close game means nothing

It's not supposed to happen in your state.

Hopefully parish episcopal can carry the momentum into futures years and keep challenging their way up the ladder.
pied
I think it's good any time a program can improve (within the confines of the rules). @Texasball - do you have any issues with the best and brightest STEM students going to the Texas Academy for Math and Science? What about arts students attending arts schools like Booker T Washington? What about kids whose families prefer a school that offers and/or emphasizes their faith background? Are those legitimate reasons to attend a different school? What about if the family feels their student isn't challenged in the classroom? Do you think they should have a chance to go to another school if they choose?
