Longtime Observer
if you can't appreciate this. Great job by Maxpreps in showcasing this rivalry. It appears as if this kind of rivalry is dead, at least until the FHSAA fixes the mess they created with the "Metro" and "Suburban" classifications. Legendary game with legendary programs.
SSG Blue
High school football is very relevant in the 21st century. Communities from coast to coast are investing up-to $700 millions into new facilities & equipment especially in Texas. Many Fortune 500 & multinational corporations are sponsoring prep football programs providing them with unlimited funding. Fan bases are very passionate about home town teams. Miami Dade County has recently constructed a new $700 million dollars ( 40,000 seats ) state of the art indoor multipurpose stadium for prep football, soccer & baseball the most expensive in America. The new home for Miami Central Rockets, Miami Edison Red Raiders, Booker T Washington Tornadoes and Miami Northwestern’s Bulls. FSHAA’s new metro/suburban system is awesome it has energized neighborhood rivalries. Teams in Florida are playing for bragging rights and playoff seedings. You can’t hide from your strong neighborhood opponents any longer. FSHAA has also created 2M district 14 inner City of Miami the hardest in America. Florida’s super metropolitan conferences have concentrated talent into 10 super strong teams state wide. These teams shall be very dominant Nationally over the next 2 years.
