  1. Rock Creek has a handful and a half of future FBS players. They aren’t deep. That’s about all I know about them. I’m sure they’ll come out strong, but 4 quarters is a long time so we’ll see. Great test for both teams. Not sure if that helps.
  2. Big games this weekend for DeMatha, Good Counsel, and St. John’s. All 3 teams are stacked this year. DM and GC have dominated MIAA schools in their scrimmages so far. St. John’s scrimmaged an always tough SJP(Philly) close last weekend. DeMatha vs. Cardinal Gibbons(FL) Friday night 8/26 Good Counsel vs. St. Joe’s Regional(NJ) Friday night 8/26 St. John’s vs. Chaminade Madonna(FL) Saturday night 8/27 Thoughts?
  3. DeMatha scrimmaged Freedom from Virginia today. I think Good Counsel hits Loyola Blakefield this weekend. Anyone make it out and can recap?
  4. Really great coach. Great school. I hope DeMatha running clocks them, but I can’t lie….great program. Glad you did this, Joe. Veal parm? Ridiculous.
  5. I know there was some talk about a possible northeast catholic super league a few years ago with the DC, Baltimore, Philly and North Jersey teams. If that was still on the table, how would he vote?
  6. The last real DC vs. Baltimore rivalry was DeMatha vs Gilman or Good Counsel vs Gilman. SFA will never have that so move on.
  7. Valid point. DeMatha shut out and trounced GC by 4 TD’s then lost to them the next week. That’s why the WCAC is so great. I do agree SFA is best fit for a national schedule. I just don’t understand the thirst they have for the WCAC.
  8. I played at DeMatha. We wish them the best, but nobody cares about SFA around DC hence the no scheduling and your thirst issues on the message boards.
  9. Nationally I totally agree, but this is a local thing for bragging rights. The WCAC doesn’t care. SFA is pressed about it. They need a local rivalry to help solidify the program.
  10. It’s all about need. SFA needs the WCAC. The WCAC doesn’t need SFA. It’s pretty simple.
  11. DeMatha just picked up a transfer in Tovani Mizell from Florida. Now #1 player in MD and #3 RB in the US.
  12. Sorry for the unexplained question but I remember when St. X was in all their glory they smoked DeMatha then lost to Good Counsel. Didn’t know what happened recently because they aren’t in that top 25 catholic school talk anymore.
  13. Lazy assessment. SFA is the most talented team in the country so I’m guessing this is off the coaching aspect, which is legitimate. Good Counsel and DeMatha will smoke half these teams in 2022. They should probably start around 10-15 range if this was gauged properly. Both are peaking this season.
  14. Haha will do. WCAC should be wild this year. Looks like DM, SJC and GC return a lot.
  15. Absolutely agree. Not sure why they care so much about the WCAC.
  16. Is this the same Jones that has DeMatha on the 2022 schedule?
  17. Might want to reach out to MD public 4A state champ Quince Orchard. Looks like they are pushing Montgomery County to let them schedule OOS. They pursued an agreement with Iona Prep NY this off-season.
