They have been down the past couple of season. They completed Spring ball and then had to hire new coach. They also had 5 star recruit move away. This ranking may be to high as it is.

So you would be happy if HS football was nothing but recruited up private schools and big public schools? Who cares about country living boys??? Dude - that in Arkansas and it is happening in other places is not good for the game!

The modern era of HS football hand full of teams that have taken recruiting to the next level. these teams can win 100 straight fake titles and I will never be impressed with how they do it. It’s not good for the spirit of the game or the future of the game. Keep attention of the lack of HS participation happening in regions were private schools are stacking teams. I just shack my head at you and wonder what you are really trying to prove??? Are you in this business for the kids playing & fans or are you simply trying to prove that recruited up vomit 🤮 private schools play the best football.

I believe it was 2 this year. look IMG is good for some kids. I don’t truly believe the NFL players from IMG had to play at IMG to make the NFL or even college. I would like to see and hear more stories of kids who got out of tough situations going to IMG- like - family, violence, gangs, foster care , prison, other social issues then flourished at IMG due to great leadership from the coaches and staff at IMG I also would like to see stories of players who went to IMG 4 years - who they really developed who had to play couple of years on their lesser teams- yet they developed him and he became really good player. mostly they stack the team with kids who was going places anyways.

How many players got drafted this year that played at IMG? I will assure you it’s not the trend they are looking for!

You and I both know 4-5 maybe 6 schools that have taken recruiting players to another level.

Recruited up private school that has no boundaries is really not all that impressive. They and others like them make me 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Not being Dick - not much has changed except these few really recruited private schools. Specialization is stupid and has never been good for any athletes. Facilities - Texas been on top of this going back over 20 years. With weight rooms and indoors now I am being Dick - get out of here with the BS about defense. Rules are the only thing changed I hate these recruited up private schools - where the hell where these same schools less than 10 years ago???

Stop the BS - nothing has changed in HS football except there is handful of teams from around the country that are super recruited up acting like they are super coached and doing something special. Those schools are bad for their states and bad for High School Football and they are all vomit private schools playing by different rules while poaching players from all over and hiding their unethical recruiting habits behind some religious affiliation.

Like I have said many times times that Aledo team had massive issues leading to that game. Fast forward to the end of the year D1 running back who won MVP in state game did not play vs Amat as he had nearly died over the summer. Their other D1 skill kid got like 5 snaps in the game he was injured in their 1st game. I was at the game it was way miss leading score!!

California dudes like to pretend they have had these super recruited up vomit 🤮 private schools for ever. They haven’t!!! prior to this new age vomit 🤮 private recruited up 🤮teams, DLS was kicking ass and taking names in California- yet they damn near got beat in every oOs game played.

The Westlake team that got drilled by Aledo was in the big boy Cali playoff bracket the year prior to playing Aledo Aledo best players (multiple) did not play vs Amat - the score in this game was so miss leading do to turnovers. The 3rd team RB for Aledo rushed over 225 yards in the game.

I am not sure what you are talking about...I thought IMG got hosed in that game with 2 defensive starters being tossed from the game. The one kid got booted after the MD kid kept blocking him 5 yards out of bounds. SJB vs Dematha - Blindside Hit was just personal foul. MD vs IMG - Blindside hit is ejection. Some of these MD teams have been so good, not sure how you can tell which was better. Probably the team that beat IMG was one of if not their best. 2020 IMG team had better QB IMO than did the IMG team that lost to MD.

Trust me they are using them during the season, especially playoff teams. Schools that don't have them sometimes use others in the area just to get good practice on bad weather days during the playoffs. I just looked at article from 2016 and it was saying over 60 in the area back then. There has been many built since then! DFW and East Texas have most of them. Not very many in the Houston area...Barbers Hills built one recently.

Plus, it can get pretty darn cold here! most have batting cages and everything else that is needed by outside sports.

My man these are all over Texas and it’s not something new happening - schools here starting building these roughly 20 + years ago!

Another rule change needed is to allow big schools who take Spring football practice to start their fall practice the same time as the small schools who don’t have Spring Ball practice. The number of fall practices before the first game is not enough especially considering that’s states like Cali start playing games the week prior to the start of our 1st games.
