It's not a knock on this AHP team, it's a reality that they have been a very damn good program over the years that even a very talented roster this year that would be one of the most loaded rosters for most programs history isn't because they have had a lot of very talented players come through that program in the past decade

Again AHP is very talented this year but they HAVE had teams far more loaded on paper

2015 AHP had 5 or 6 guys who ended up in the NFL Can you convincingly name 6 guys right now that are guaranteed to be in the NFL? I'm not saying AHP isn't talented, they are They HAVE had better teams talent wise and anyone in SFL can probably prove this if they did enough research

On paper this AHP team isn't as loaded as in the past They may very well be playing better but I can easily show you teams far more loaded Especially on defense Most of the AHP top talent are on offense, the defense isn't as loaded as the past especially in the front 7 and they are smaller in the trenches than in the past

AHP is overachieving and seem to have not lost a step with the coaching change They have had teams better talent wise but they are playing very well as a team

And this was a down AHP team talent wise Imagine what 2017 or 2015 AHP would have done to Lowndes

Part of the problem is a lot of these GA teams booster clubs are full of dumb hillbillies who don't do research These coaches can lie and say any SFL team is great because they will just say "we got a FL power coming into town" and they won't think twice about it and outside of a top few teams they don't have a clue about Florida so they can fool their fanbase and make the wins look better than it is so they gain nothing for actually playing a FL power Though I respect any school that is one willing to travel to another state for a game and two is willing to host an actual powerhouse

Osceola is literally the only team with a pulse that Lakeland has played but I guess that's supposed to be enough to justify top 5 in the country Because they went out and recruited the Polk county all star team Too bad they didn't schedule like one

And if they played I doubt you would feel convinced taking IMG head to head with those teams as again all 4 have beaten teams better than the BEST win on IMG schedule and have looked far more convincing so far

I would take Central, STA, AHP or Chaminade head to head with IMG this year without hesitation Only one of those teams has ever avoided IMG Academy and that's because of one high ranking figure in the school that hates what IMG stands for

There's probably at least 5-10 different Florida teams with argubly a better win on their resume than IMG best win

But they have been beaten this year And none of their wins have done anything to show that them losing to Central was a fluke because they haven't beaten anyone close to the level of Central

Talent should only matter before games are played (preseason) Once games start only production should matter and if a team has a bunch of talent but doesn't play up to that potential (talent) than what does the number of big name athletes matter for judging a teams resume (production)

They will change the standard and apply it however they want people to believe it should be to get the teams they want in the top 10

Yeah but a lot of these same pollsters have IMG in the top 10 with no top 100 win in the country

IMG is the whipping boy for SFA lately, panthers gonna maul them in Baltimore

I see most the idiots on the other board think that SFA gonna lose to IMG I just don't get this idea that IMG is elite this year when they haven't beaten anyone that's actually good on a national level
