ALABAMA – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 13 Teams in the Top 100 – 1 (#14 Hoover) Highest ranked team since 2008 - Prattville #10 (2008) School trending up – Alabaster Thompson School trending down – Prattville Notes: State has added a new team in every season but three since 2008. Hoover has been the state’s highest ranked team since 2010. ARIZONA – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 16 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Chandler Hamilton #3 (2012) Teams in the Top 100 – 4 (#27 Chandler Hamilton, #40 Scottsdale Saguaro, #47 Chandler, #77 Peoria Centennial) School trending up – Chandler Basha School trending down – Phoenix Mountain Pointe Notes: Chandler Hamilton has led the state in the poll since its inception in 2008. State has added a new team to the poll in all but two years since 2008. ARKANSAS – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 8 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Springdale Shiloh Christian #48 (2009) Teams in the Top 100 - 0 School trending up – Bryant. Entered the poll in 2019, took the number one spot in the state in 2022. School trending down – Springdale Shiloh Christian. Notes: Bryant moves into the top spot in the state replacing Fayetteville, who has led the state since 2016. MARYLAND/DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 12 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Olney Our Lady of Good Counsel #15 (2012) Teams in the Top 100 – 4 (#22 Hyattsville DeMatha, #34 Baltimore St. Francis, #36 Washington St. Johns, #43 Olney Our Lady of Good Counsel) School trending up – Baltimore St. Francis Academy School trending down – Sandy Spring Sherwood Notes: Sherwood led state in 2008-2009, Our Lady of Good Counsel led in the years 2010 – 2015, followed by Hyattsville DeMatha which has led the state rankings since. MICHIGAN – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 - 15 Highest ranked team since 2008 – East Grand Rapids #24 (2010) Teams in the Top 100 – 0 School trending up – Warren De La Salle Collegiate School trending down – East Grand Rapids Notes: Interesting that a state with fifteen teams in the poll does not have one in the Top 100. This year’s top team, Belleville appeared in the poll for the first time. MINNESOTA – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 7 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Plymouth Wayzata #49 (2011) Teams in the Top 100 – 0 School trending up – Lakeville South School trending down – St. Paul Cretin-Durham Notes: Up until Lakeville South joined the poll in 2021, nothing had changed in the state rankings since 2012. MISSISSIPPI – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 18 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Batesville South Panola #5 (2010) Teams in the Top 100 – 1 (#55 Batesville South Panola) School trending up – Picauyne School trending down – Batesville South Panola Notes: Similar to Michigan, Mississippi has eighteen teams in the poll but just one in the Top 100. And considering South Panola is there due to teams from early in the polling, the state seems to be a revolving door with ranked teams. South Panola has led the state rankings since 2009. MISSOURI – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 11 Highest ranked team since 2008 – St. Louis Christian Brothers #74 (2022) Teams in the Top 100 – 1 (#74 St. Louis Christian Brothers) School trending up – St. Louis Christian Brothers School trending down – Kansas City Rockhurst Notes: Christian Brothers has led the state rankings since 2018. NEW JERSEY – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 - 11 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Ramsey Don Bosco Prep #1 (2010, 2011) Teams in the Top 100 – 3 (#17 Ramsey Don Bosco Prep, #23 Oradell Bergen Catholic, #60 Montvale St. Joseph Regional) School trending up – Oradell Bergen Catholic School trending down – Montvale St. Joseph Regional Notes: Don Bosco Prep has led the state rankings since it’s inception in 2008. New Jersey has not added a new team to the poll since 2014. NEW YORK – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 - 5 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Rochester Aquinas Institute #154 (2010) Teams in the Top 100 – 0 School trending up – Endwell Maine- Endwell School trending down – Rochester Aquinas Institute Notes: The state has not added a new team to the poll since 2014 (Buffalo Canisuis). No school has ever been in the poll for a second time. OKLAHOMA – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 7 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Tulsa Union #7 (2009) Teams in the Top 100 – 2 (#25 Jenks, #38 Tulsa Union) School trending up – Bixby School trending down - Broken Arrow Notes: Bixby has been one of the fastest rising teams in the country since their debut in the poll in 2019. Jenks has led the state poll since 2013. State has added four teams since the start of the poll (2008). PENNSYLVANIA – Schools that have been ranked in the poll since 2008 – 22 Highest ranked team since 2008 – Philadelphia St. Joseph Prep #15 (2022) Teams in the Top 100 – 1 (#15 Philadelphia St. Joseph Prep) School trending up – Philadelphia St. Joseph Prep School trending down – Pittsburgh Central Catholic Notes: St. Joseph Prep did not appear in the poll 2013 yet has climbed to #15 in the rankings in that ten-year period. They have done that by consistently being ranked in the top 50 in the country each season.
