Great Coaches H.S

How do you measure greatness -- simply by wins?  I think a coach who takes average talent and has winning teams every year is much better then one who recruits a local all-star team and wins with that talent.

People seem to forget that John Wooden coached at UCLA for 26 years.  He didn't win a national title until his 15th year there.  Why?  One simple reason: he started recruiting nationally (NYC, Philly and DC).

The difference is everyone for the most part “big time universities” had the same ability to recruit nationally.
MD and select few of others are basically playing by different rules!  If not DLS would still be winning state with 2-way players.
