Wonder why Maxpreps did not include the game if it is confirmed? Makes me nervous that it won’t happen. Isn’t it the same week as the Trinity vs USA event? I’m glad we play them at the Bowl instead of Bosco’s stadium.

is there another Trinity/USA game scheduled besides Bosco v SFA?

You can't trust MaxPreps as gospel when it comes to schedules this early, no matter how often they are updating. At least not until a month or two before season.  And there will be no other Trinity Showcase game. I think that ship has sailed, at least this year. Who knows what will happen for the future, but MD is better off stay home when you keep hearing how important it is to collect that home gate $$.

BG would play MD in a heartbeat. When the MC/MD oppty came up both teams (MD and BG) agreed to reschedule the game later in the season in order to allow MD to play at MC on 8/25. WHile MD was waiting for the contract from MC, BG got the oppty for an all expenses-paid trip/game at Nike headquarters in Oregon (hearing vs LBP), plus they were able to fill most of their 2023 schedule. Problem is now neither MD and BG share the same open dates. As of today neither MC or BG has an elite OOS team on their schedules. The saving grace is that both may still have the oppty to play each other in Vegas, which would be the happiest of endings. MD still has a great oppty on 9/15. If that game happens all three teams will be made whole in this respect.

I know that 9/15 game will be great, it will give MD one national marquee game - BUT it still leaves 8/25 open for MD. This late in the off season are there oppty/teams. Even if it's another Creekside like solid team, who's stepped up to play MD!? Not too many of those teams these days. How long before MD calls it a day and goes with a nine game schedule?

It's getting harder and harder for MD and SJB to fill their schedules each season. Both need to take advantage of these opptys when they arise.

Kahuku replaced Gorman on MD's schedule for this year. And its being said by some, Gorman wants no part of MD this year, BUT will play them next year, in not having to deal with this years senior group?  But somewhere I read, Gorman happen to think they could play MD on another week/date. Well, now MD has an opening for that week it was suppose to play Miami Central. Is Gorman available then?

So what's this NIKE Classic, Gorman wants to play in? And who are they playing? Is that why they wanted out.  MD and Gorman was one of the best games of the year last season.  I know alot were looking forward to the rematch. There is consolation in playing next year, but some of the luster will be gone, you won't see some of key match up you would have seen this year.

Joe, you say they're are viable teams to fill Miami Central spot?.. I hear there are slim to no takers..

But I will say.. rounding out the MD schedule is a game, nobody has mentioned. Do I even mention it? It's a big one. It's a rematch. It wont be played in the Trinity Showcase. and It will be an MD home game.

The MC/MD game is not happening. Received confirmation from the MC AD this morning. Both teams still have viable options in September.

It's too bad this game won't be played. It's been a back and forth of he said, she said, behind the scenes. And we'll never probably get why MC decided not to play. For some reason MC was all gung-ho to play this game. Kept asking why MD was taking so long to sign contracts etc. For one, told MC never sent contacts to MD. And the one thing you have to keep in mind with MD, they do their due diligence - they take their time, are slower than other schools to make things happen. Thats because they don't jump the gun before crossing the t's and dotting the i's.. I've seen too may schools/games fall apart because schools talk too much and do things half ass backwards.

Once MD was confirming on its end to go ahead with the game, MC said it didn't have a stadium to play in! How could you not secure a place of game of this magnitude? On the account MD took too long. Also, they wanted to play on a Saturday, at 1 pm.. So that slowed things down, but apparently MC found a place to play..

And once that was squared away, MD was waiting for the contracts... and it was a done deal. And that time, MC all of a sudden decided not to play anymore. And this is where the he said, she said comes into play - said MC got wind of what MD returns, and I don't think realized 18-of 22 return and got the low-down from an insider close to MD. Enough said.

Then for whatever reason MC was no longer interested in playing, and thus contracts were never sent by MC's AD. MD even decide to give in to playing at 1 pm on Saturday... Still not interested.

For team who kept talking about taking on all comers and going on Miami Central Hater World Tour they sure changed their tune, or those close to Miami Central making posts on FB on how how bad they were going to beat Mater Dei..  what happened? Someone needs to make it make sense!
