The votes are in and the vast majority say Texas and California have the best high school football. According to the poll, Texas edges out Cali while Georgia and Florida are considerably farther behind taking in the 3rd and 4th spots. Honestly, I think from top to bottom, Georgia has the best overall football considering all the classes together while Texas and Cali have the best elite teams.

I don't doubt you at all, but it is still a newer concept for most of the country. Are they worth the expense, and do they produce championships?

There appears to be an uptick in the construction of indoor practice facilities for high school teams. What are your thoughts on these? Are they worth the costs?

In Georgia, there's a trend picking up steam. Head coaches are being hired with the extra administrative title of "Director of Football Operations." That basically makes them an AD in charge of all football related matters from high school all the way down to middle school teams. It's basically their job to overlook their feeder programs. It's an interesting concept because some of them do not answer to the Athletic Directors any longer. At Lowndes, the Director of Football Operations/Head Coach answers directly to the School Superintendent.

The GHSA will be heading back to 6 classes once they take a vote in April. Currently, there are 7 classes. Due to the current reclassification (and 3.0 multiplier), teams like Buford were forced to move up to the highest classification. With the new system, Buford may be escaping back to a lower classification beginning in 2024. It's going to be interesting to see where all the top schools land once all the dust settles.

This schedule looks pretty good. Still has 1 opening though.

Georgia has a reputation of paying well for high school football coaches compared to Florida. Why is that? What are the salary ranges for head coaches and coordinators in your state?
