What makes a great coach? Winning with some of the best player in the nation or winning with what players in your school district/boundary?
I'd take a Bruce Rollinson over a Bill Castle 24/7/365.

That ranking is not factoring in the plethora of top D1 transfers, they are getting this off-season
Exactly!!! CCC gonna be a force to be reckoned with next season!!

MD's top games are BG and Bosco. No way is SFA bigger than Gorman. I would even argue that our game at Kahuku is bigger than SFA. Even if SFA is higher ranked than Kahuku, beating Kahuku in Hawaii would be more of a statement given the challenge that other OOS teams have had there in the past few years.
Agree. Corrected. BG was mistakenly omitted.

SJB top games are vs C-M and MD
BG top games are vs STA and MD
MD top games are vs BG, SFA, Cen10 and SJB
SFA top games are vs MD, DV and IMG
STA top games are vs BG and C-M
C-M top games are vs SJB and STA
IMG top games are vs SFA and BC
The above team(s) that go undefeated with all be in the 2024 MNC hunt.

I hope that Milton and SJB stay at the same hotel in Fort Lauderdale for the 2024 Broward event 😉

Another thing that message board morons love to do is senselessly bash California’s playoff system while refusing to even acknowledge the absolute disgrace of a playoff system here in Floridumb.
Chaminade fielded a top-3 team nationally last season and outscored their playoff competition 210-7. They were on the doorstep of breaking records in their game against Avant Garde and beat CCC in a state championship game by 56 points.
Morons on the PG board: “This is perfect!” “We’ve used this system forever and it has yet to fail us!” 🤡
Three OOS games next season will define the current state of Florida HSFB:
SJB at C-M
BG at STA
Milton at AHP

Why? Miami Central beat them literally a year earlier and barley lost when they played in 2017
They could absolutely compete with IMG on an annual basis
No idea why, but it's happening.

Neither were even close to a top 50 Florida team last year
Exactly. No FL T50 team wanted that smoke. So they took what they could get. Teams in Broward and Dade are actually boycotting IMG behind the scenes.

It is an advantage to have almost unlimited resources and full control over their schedule
Pretty sure they can just write a 50k check and play whoever they want with what they charge for tuition if they needed a game badly enough
There are teams who take 5k and will get on a 10 hour bus ride to get slaughtered
They can, but less and less opponents are choosing the $$$ over the beating.

What's their SOS if you take out the district games that Chaminade is required to play by the state association?
It's an advantage for IMG to be able to create and buy their entire schedule without being slated with weak district games
It's not an advantage as IMG is one of the most feared HSFB teams in America. Proof is that teams like them and MD still haven't finalized their 2024 schedules yet. Very few have the courage to schedule them.

And yeah some top teams won't play IMG but are you telling me Bartram Trail and Pine Forest were the BEST teams in Florida that would be willing to play? Neither were even top 100 in Florida last season
Yes, as I do most of the scheduling for IMG. Those were the only FL teams that agreed to play IMG. And we contacted all of the T50 teams in the state.
-
Cocoa at IMG National 9/6
SFA at CCC 10/25
-
SJC scheduling more conservative than normal while they rebuild.

All of them are better then the Florida teams IMG played last season
You and I both know that the vast majority the top FL teams (including C-M) will no longer schedule IMG. Conversely, IMG beat three state champs last season (SJP, BD, GV).
And of all the undefeated teams last season C-M had the worst SOS by far (30.5).

But then again when you have statboys like Los who think student enrollment means a damn thing and it gets repeated and festered among the morons running the state it's not all that surprising that stupid ideas get brought up constantly yet working ideas either get dropped after a single sports cycle or get mentioned once in a meeting and never brought up again
St. Thomas Aquinas - 2,085
Miami Central - 1,400
American Heritage - 1,575
Chaminade-Madonna - 585
Columbus - 1,740 (all-boys)
Cardinal Gibbons - 1,031
Two of the three smallest in student population in that group and both have finished #1 in the state in the past two seasons
But you're gonna tell me enrollment means a damn thing to success? GTFO with that stupid shit
St Frances MD has less than 300 students in the entire high school.
