Anyone can schedule a top team if they chose but most coaches (over 99 percent) know what they got, and losing by 30-50 doesn’t help them in the slightest. There is no tangible evidence that “iron sharpens iron” in sports. For all the teams who are successful with tough schedules, there are other successful teams with garbage ones. Does this game make for good TV? A running clock at halftime? It’s like Alabama vs and FCS team. Like I said it’s a 50 point loss in exchange for a cool trip. That’s it.
