IMG-SFA in BOGUS POLLS

Quality over Quantity for these elites. SFA SOS finished at 60.1 (TX best was 50.0). They beat four (4) state champs in DS, Kah, DF and ESL.

IMG beat #6/8 SFA and hung tough to the end with #1/2 MC.

Both of these teams are the most feared in HSFB. Cancel Culture does not belong in HSFB. Each of these teams would love to play 15-16 games annually. In the end they should never be penalized for being so good that everyone is petrified to schedule them. Ignoring these teams will just make them stronger.

They would love to play 15-16 games.  Except they will not    play by the same rules and act like it’s cancel culture issue.  No play by the rules everyone else plays with!

SFA was not booted from their league. Their conference teams canceled/boycotted them because they were too afraid to play bigger, faster, stronger, better players. SFA still competes in the MIAA in every other sport.

That’s because they are not buying players in other sports.

I've said from Day One, by ignoring them and by not establishing some sort of rapport and guidelines to play, you're giving them carte blanche to pilfer any player(s) they want. They wouldn't do such otherwise.  And keep in mind in 99.9% of these situations the players' families are soliciting the programs first.

keep telling yourself this, you might believe it someday!

Elias Ricks

Ricks transferred out to go to another school in Cali to graduate in December since MD doesn’t allow mid year graduation for seniors.  Last second he inquired about IMG and decided to transfer there since they do allow mid year graduation.   So in other words, he was already gone.

Lol. Not true. There are many MD players that have enrolled early in college. As long as they have met their graduation requirements this is allowed. We are also pretty strict regarding where you can get class credits from. These elite athletes plan accordingly so they have completed their graduation requirements in December. If I remember correctly, Ricks did not plan so well.
Also, these MD students that have enrolled in college during the Spring for football have almost all come back in June to walk with their friends at graduation.

Actually it’s not. There is a pretty long list of MD players that have graduated in December. There were other non football issues with Ricks, plus he did not put himself in a position academically to graduate early.

Interesting, that’s what Rick’s parents said.  Regardless they left and reached out.   Also the Stach was fine with it because of the aforementioned.

Not sure what was said by Rick's parents. But several of his teammates graduated in Decemeber (e.g., Bru McCoy, Bryce Young following year). Ricks was in the doghouse at MD. Keep in mind that he was suspended after the 2018 SS championship against Boco and didn't play in the state final against DLS. This was the beginning of the end for Ricks at MD.

Makes sense now.  There’s usually a backstory to these things.   Appreciate it!
