Had nothing to do with winning or losing games. Please fwd this message to the CIF: Dear CIF, Every other state in America plays IMG and there are no "academies" popping up in those states! When you have the L.A. metro of 12 million to choose from those two will always be powerhouses. 2 Quote

Absolutely no difference other than CA has more talented ballers. Quote

Students do go to school there to get an education. 1 Quote

I’m quite sure Mater Dei and St. John Bosco are both institutions of higher learning (as well as the rest of the Trinity League), but let’s not kid ourselves into thinking that the money and resources available to them aren’t also used for a higher level of athletics. And I always thought IMG was a tennis academy. 🤣 Quote

I can only speak for MD, yes some students go there for athletics as their primary motivation. I’m not naive to think otherwise. The alumni have deep pockets indeed and the athletics department raises more money than a lot of colleges. I personally always donate to the general fund instead of athletics, as the overall holistic mission of the school is more important to me than athletics alone. Quote

acheaja8 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 May be a really good reason why Riley is struggling at USC. Quote

The 24.5 spread on Calpreps is too much. Playing at Cen10 will be harder than the sectional and state finals, should MD win tonight. Quote

PDE769 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 True High school fans remember that Cen10 has beat MD in the past. tonight it will come down to turnovers and penalties. Quote

We live in the present here. In the modern era of HSFB. If Cen10 ever beats MD it’ll be because the Monarchs are not 100% healthy due to major injuries. No question that Cen10 is one of the top power publics in USA this season. Quote
PDE769 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 GBS, for many years I been at both MD and Cen10 back in the day with the Bass brother from 2002. Those games are been decided because of turnovers and penalties bad calls for both teams. I have not miss a game between Cen10 vs MD and SJB, Also MD vs SJB. How many times have you been there in person to see for yourself. I would say 80% was due turnover's and bad calls. Quote

Old_e Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 From what I saw last Friday at the MV vs Cen10 game, Cen10 would need to play a perfect game to get pass the Monarchs. Cen10 is good and they have improved from weeks 1 and 2. But MD is on another level. 1 1 Quote
