One-year wonder. Let's see if they can re-load next season and win back to back chips. Honestly, I'd love for them to have some staying power as DV and DS were becoming stale.

You have zero reasons to be so negative about the state of Texas and North Crowley!  Zero and it’s really unacceptable for someone who is ranking teams nationally!

The fact that we can build so many high quality programs in public school setting that provides young athletes great leadership on and off the field along with financial support = facilities not to mention real community support - Let’s not forget the number of athletes.  All done without over the top recruiting is highly impressive.

What is it that you hate so much about a state that is so committed to the game of football???

Concerning next level true D1 athletes - if Texas 6A by itself was a state - they would have finished ahead of the entire state of California in number of recruits that signed with the highest level of college football 189 to 187.  This is very impressive stat I took from recruiting which I really shrunk our state down.  Add in our other classes and we are producing well over 100 more true D1 kids than the next best state in this regard. (Florida)  I am not including fcs teams - this is only teams that play in conferences that are eligible for bowl games and the 12 team playoffs.

Look dude, I get it…teams like MD are good as they should be.  They have truly stacked their rosters by recruiting or attracting players from far and wide!  It’s really kinda of sickening that a great state like California would allow these teams such a big competitive advantage over the vast majority of teams and young athletes across the state.  It’s really not that impressive!

Don't get me wrong. I love that TX finally has a new #1 . I love the parity. But to be nationally-relevant long-term they'll need to trade-in games with Boswell and Lake Ridge for a few, quality OOS teams. Yes, they def benefited from DV beating SFA. But, they'll need to take matters into their own hands going fwd.

Whatever dude! Hate your bogus attitude!

By the way SLC had some major injuries including not one but 2 D1 running backs (USC CA) and Baylor that missed all of the playoffs.

get your rich friends to finance the games.

i would only play the super recruited MD and SJB, BG, SFA, types if I had very high level team returning with high level QB.

If they agree to travel somewhere elite next season, I'll personally guarantee they receive a minimum of $15k to assist with expenses.

Crowley ISD finally got tired of their best athletes moving away to places like Aledo and other near by places.  They built facilities on both campuses along with super nice district stadium for both Crowley High and North Crowley.  Invested into the leadership.  Crowley high is slowly building that program too!

much much respect to the commitment they have made to developing the programs.

15k above and beyond what the host team will pay?

When you do the math, $15K is a drop in the bucket compared to the actual cost of putting a full team, coaches, trainers, support staff on a plane. Add on the cost of shipping equipment and hotel for sometimes 4 nights for a major road trip.  Plus meals and incidentals. You get my point. When we traveled to Hawaii and DC it cost us well north of $150K.

This is why MD would much rather find good local teams to play, with only one at most game requiring a plane trip.

Other than visiting IMG, there's no such thing as an all-expense trip in the world of HSFB. Only twice in the past ten years have I been associated with any team that received a travel stipend of $25k or greater. The goal is always to get the majority of the largest expense (airfare) satisfied, while fundraising the balance. Botton line is if SFA can do it, any power private can if they choose to.

Stop, please remind us who is really financing that team!
