When I played in the late 80s/early 90s we had three classes. Privates were mixed in with everyone. The playoffs were a war zone back in those days. If you won state back then you went through a gauntlet from the first round on. Quote

And what’s worse is smaller teams in the 3A, 4A and 5A can and have beaten the 6A teams so there is no reason to have so many public classes. Quote
