I have no issue with this as I think the intention is good to give these kids a chance. But as you correctly say, I hope they are not sacrificial lambs to be fed to the wolves. There are some very irresponsible adults who should not be football coaches coaching football. So it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they end up being exactly that.
